    Burnsy CARRIER
    Daft Row HARLOT
    steve harrow FALSE WOLF
    wfcmoog
    lowerrous
    wfcwarehouse

The new role I introduced was FALSE WOLF, I also experimented with not having a traitor but that backfired when team evil had endless bad luck.

I wrote this to steve harrow:

You are the village FALSE WOLF, this is a new role.

    * You are a GOOD player, and the SEER will view you as GOOD.
    * If a wolf chooses you, you will survive because the wolf will see you as another wolf and leave.
    * If this happens my morning write will state this, so the other villagers will think you are EVIL.
    * You will only survive once this way.

    You're not wrong!
    • Night 1 - Diamond the Alpha taking out Burnsy the carrier and immediately dying
    • Also Night 1 - GoingDown attacks the gunslinger
    • Day 2 - GoingDown killed for very dubious reasons (I was genuinely busy and forgot about the game - my bad)
    • Night 2 - I go for Steve Harrow and guardian interferes
    • Night 3 - I'm getting a new wolf companion and instantly kill him
    • Day 4 - Awful message from me combined with being viewed - game over
Don't think I've ever known a game go so badly for team evil

    Breakdown:

Day 1: Seer views guardian. Wolf writes nothing of note. Cthulhu volunteers to be lynched. Cthulhu lynched. (+wfcwarehouse withdraws)
Night 1: Alpha chooses carrier. Diamond and Burnsy die, beta chooses the gunslinger and gamma chooses the harlot (who promises to be active on Day 2 but didn't respond to PM about a visit). Daft Row eaten. Guardian protects seer. (Cassetti's Beard removed)
Day 2: Seer views steve harrow. Beta names lowerrous as evil. Somehow beta gets implicated on very flimsy 'evidence', GoingDown lynched.
Night 2: Gamma goes for steve harrow (the false wolf), guardian also protects steve harrow.
Day 3: Gamma gets in first and names HH24 as evil, seer views HH24 and names as good. Using same tenuous 'evidence' Squibba get implicated, Squibba lynched.
Prior to night 3, I make Optimistichornet delta wolf.

Night 3: Delta chooses miked2006, so does guardian. Gamma chooses delta. Optimistichornet eaten.
Day 4: Seer chooses Grrwood (gamma), at almost the same time gamma wrote about wfcmoog being good. Grrwood lynched.

Overall team evil were very unlucky with Diamond choosing the carrier and GoingDown taken out with very flimsy evidence (this would not have happened if there was a traitor).

Grrwood didn't help himself though! When choosing Opti he said he wanted to avoid eating certain players to avoid suspicion (a big mistake in itself) then on day 4 he missed a massive opportunity, if I was in his shoes I would have posted early stating steve harrow as evil. It would have given him another day at least!

When I next do one, I have cooked up an even more diabolical character but before that is deployed I'd be grateful if someone else were to run one.

The game was somewhat compromised with 4 players either withdrawing or effectively withdrawing. I did contemplate cancelling it on Day 2.

Looking at the players to go out, Squibba was the only good player eaten/lynched who wasn't withdrawn (or withdrawing like Cthulhu)

Burnsy also doesn't count as he had to go for team good to win.

I think a lot of people are doing a disservice to team good in relation to GD's killing.

None of the players that voted for him knew he was evil, or claimed to. We had our suspicions and he seemed most likely out of the 9 players I listed. What we did do well though was ignored LR and picked a different player to maximise our probability of getting someone evil. That is sensible play. As shown, a lot of other players wouldn't have followed the numbers/logic.

  10. Cheers HH. Not an easy game to play as Guardian when you're named in the first bloody message!

How come you protected me on the first night? Was it just a random selection?

  12. I felt you were good but not sure about the Seer. You were far to active to be a wolf for me, even an active wolf would be a bit quieter than you were. But I also thought you were too active to be the Seer.

Secondly you were making a lot of sense and making a lot of good points for team good so I felt the wolf would target you.

As I was named good I "asked" the guardian a couple of times to protect me in the hope the wolves would take me as safe and leave me alone, and protected you instead.
