Delighted to have finally got to the end of a game of werewolf but so sad it's over already.

In these basically crappy times, total gratitude to Otter for running this and to the Seer and Guardian for great work.

I presume there were masons too as there seemed to be a few of you who were very much on the same page?

My role was false wolf. So the wolf saw me as a wolf but I was good. It would work once though so like hornet gags I had to bluff that I could do that again without being killed.

    Well played Good.

As posted in the cemetery, it all turned bad, (or good), when I bit into Burnsy. Next morning I was going to mimick the Seers message and name Happy as evil, first thing as soon as the village opened. That would have given GoingDown a bit more time to get into the game and I think evil a huge advantage.
When I died I thought Squibba was the traitor, had no idea about GoingDown but was leaning towards Grrdwood being evil. I thought Burnsy was giving out Seer vibes hence why I went for him.

Day 1 message 2 was mine. I wanted confusion and was going to use that tactic again on day 3, (as if I'd live that long in a game of werewolf!).

****ing virus! That's what took us down, not you "good" morons.

No thanks to steve, HH24 and horace for all voting for me on the second night.

Also, I'm a bit puzzled as to why moog seemed to want me dead for a while, even though he at least didn't vote for me. He seemed to get his wish right at the end though in suggesting I get tied up.

  4. Didn't someone say they'd run a second game straight off after this one?

Encouraging that someone on team evil also thought he was the traitor!

I had an inkling on the day 1 message 2 was an experienced player and thought it was a clever move...it threw the whole day into confusion.

    Kudos on that.

  7. I was just going with the named message really. Perfectly reasonable option but obviously the better players saw something not right in GD being a newbie.

Thinks that's always been an issue when we all know who's who, no one can play anonymously so experienced and naive always get picked on early on. Be good to one day have an anonymous game.

Great game team Good. That was a whitewash. The seer and guardian had a stormer.

I thought HH24 could be the seer and Moog the guardian.

NI in my eyes was a normal villager (although a good player). He like me was very open that he was good and left himself vulnerable to the wolves (which I don’t think a special player would do).

    So...

Sounds like we had each of the wolves in turn taking on the Alpha responsibility. I took over on Day 3 and did my best to copy the seer - still have no idea what these clues hidden in the messages were! If I'd spotted them I certainly could have made things more interesting... As it is we were doomed with some totally rotten luck. Guardian played a blinder, and I'll let Otter reveal exactly what happened last night...

Seer was ridiculously good and by viewing me this morning I was doomed. Awful game on my part, hoping we can have another in a few weeks if anyone is prepared to run!

I always try and ruffle a few feathers early on. If nothing else, it's often boring on day 1 and 2 as there's nothing to go on.

It does often get me killed, but it also does provide clues as how people react when accused can often show cracks. You were 100% in the clear as far as I was concerned though. I never voted for you and had eliminated you from suspicion in my own eyes.

I think you were very unlucky, or we had an excellent seer. I think if you hadn't been viewed as evil, you'd have sailed through today easily and tomorrow too.

One error, perhaps, was repeating the accusation of HH24 as evil. Maybe if you'd thrown Stevo or me under the bus, people would have been quicker to believe you.

Thanks a a lot Otter for running the game. Much appreciated distraction from the real world right now.

Still want to know what the hell was going on with Steve_Harrow appearing as a wolf and also, I didn't want to say anything in the game, because he was confirmed good, but I suspected Hornetgags was lying through his teeth throughout about his various powers and insights.

Yes and no. Fair play to those who were suspicious of GD - they were spot on. But not necessarily for the right reasons - some thought he was the alpha wolf and that his messages were unusual because he was a newbie at the game. But, in fact, the alpha wolf was Diamond who had written an unusual message deliberately to sow confusion. Unfortunately for him, by doing so, he unwittingly put his fellow wolf in the firing line.
Sorry @lowerrous for my poor judgement in voting for you early on in the game. By the end of it I was convinced you were the Seer so will be interested to see if I’m right. Not sure who the guardian was, though - maybe @nornironhorn?
@hornetgags I guessed you were bluffing but kept quiet. When you voted instead of shooting today, I knew there was no way you had any bullets left. Good bluffing though.
Well played Team Good - especially @miked2006 and @nornironhorn - and whoever the Seer was, for viewing grrwood today!

Yes in hindsight I should have gone for Steve, I just couldn't work out what had happened on night 3. False wolf? Didn't see that coming. My biggest blunder is yet to be revealed...

Yes, thanks very much @Otter for running the game. As moog said, a very welcome distraction.

steve harrow had a new role that I cooked up, he was a sheep in a wolf's clothing. The idea was he was a good player but would be able to fool a wolf once.

I also wanted to see how a game would work without a traitor. In essence it doesn't work because there is no-one to help, this is partly why evil failed. Diamond was unlucky but had there been a traitor it's likely that GoingDown could have survived Day 2.

Grrwood was my primary suspect from the end of day 1 though, I'd been trying to get him lynched as of day 2 and reckon I'd have got there eventually.

What clues did you come across in the seer's message? Be interesting to see if they match up with the one I found!

Was there any intended clue when you used the term 'character' to describe a wolf?

Whoever was the Guardian really played a blinder.

I try to do the same for the same reasons. But (as a less experienced player than yourself) I think it makes me live longer, because it makes me suspicious in some people's eyes, therefore the wolves keep me alive.

Big time, I'd be interested to hear why they protected me on night 1.

It will also be interesting to see if they were actual clues or if I just saw something that wasn’t there. For me it was, the “Good morning villagers”, the first and second line always starting with an “S” then an “E” and the last line always ending “let’s...”

Despite us working together on every day, I was still a little suspicious of you! More so than I was of Opti for example who hadn't raised my suspicions at all.

In my write ups I try to be gender neutral as if I use "him" it would suggest that the wolf isn't HH24, so that's why I use 'character' and 'them' etc.

I had you and nornironorn pegged as evil when you led the charge for Going Down...until he was revealed to indeed be evil and I had to change all my assumptions

Opti was only promoted to wolf last night when I called full moon. He then went to chose the villager protected by the guardian and then get killed by Grrwood. Poor guy!

You used him when you referred to the Guardian on one day. That's how I knew HH wasn't the Guardian, but didn't want to point it out.

The clues use to nail GoingDown was tenuous to say the least, you may get away with it occasionally but as proven with Squibba it was really tenuous.

Ouch! However he did try to kill me, so serves him right really...

Sorry - that makes your life harder. Happy to be referred to as a “he” in the game, if it makes life easier. I’ll be a gender fluid villager!
