Just looked and Arsenal were linked with him in 2013 and are linked with him again this transfer window. Amazing how far we've come. That's now Lemina and Corchia we are beating Arsenal for. We are a huge club!

Nothing wrong with it apart from the fact that the right back position will be taking up three spots in the team. That's excluding the fact that we have like 6 midfielders, 5 center backs, 4 wingers and 3 strikers and only 1 natural left back.

 

Some players will be moved on naturally

 

Plus the supposed signing of Kiko Femenia. Right back overload.

 

Don't forget we might be shopping for udinese as well.

 

Should of taken that into consideration really. Especially with Widmer seemingly on the move.

Been done before - March 1971 - away at Birmingham City (who included a young Trevor Francis who scored).

Ken Furphy selected Duncan Welbourne, Dave Butler, Johnny Williams and Mike Packer - all full backs - in the team that day. In fact Packer kicked off to Butler at the start of the second half....

We lost 2-0 - Furphy left at the end of the season - the parallels with QSF are uncanny.

 

Don't forget Juanfran, chomping at the bit now having gained first team experience elsewhere for several years.

Doubt we're interested now we have Femenia. Unless we have plans to sell Janmaat and Djedje.

The other possibility is we use Femenia as a RM/RW which was his natural position until last season. If that's the case then we could still be in for him.

 

Femenia was tied up months ago before we were in for Corchia so I'd imagine it's the latter.

 

Janmaat was linked with a move to Southampton earlier in the summer

 

Rumoured to be between us and Sevilla for Corchia. Seems odd considering we signed Femenia and have Janmaat. Unless We plan to put Femenia on the winger predominantly?
Would be better to have a natural right-back.
Djedje looks to be off if this is true.
