Facing the sack at Southampton despite a top 10 finish and getting to a cup final. Must be down to the "negative football" their fans claimed he played?
Top 10 but only finished 6 points ahead of us, if it wasn't for Gabbiadinis hot streak back in February they'd have been in real trouble.
This Season the gap between higher mid and lower mid is tiny. Finishing position this year doesn't reflect quality of the teams in that sense.
There was a tweet from Sky Sports that said he'd been sacked earlier, but turned out it was a fake account. I hope they do sack him - nothing against Puel, but it would likely mean that any half decent manager considering Palace would then prefer to go to Southampton instead (doesn't include Mazzarri because I mentioned "half decent").
Prem owners are very demanding these days, as we know well. There are reports of unrest in the camp & that the players don't get on with him. I suspect that if he does go it'll down to that as much as anything.
