Apparently we are interested in Bruno Peres from Roma, alongside Brighton and Galatasaray. He was originally a right back, but was converted into a right winger by Roma (very much against trend in the modern era). I thought he was brilliant at Torino and has plenty of pace and skill (I think he had the top successful dribble rate in Europe at one point). Definitely worth signing if we can get a good deal, despite Femenia's form. Surely in our favour, we are more Prem established than Brighton, we have two Brazilians doing well in the squad and a Portuguese manager? Against, our tendency not to actually bid and to try to get players on very favourable loans.
A right back who converted to a winger, rather than the other way around, as it is in most cases, sounds like the ideal WB, as his defensive qualities should be ingrained. If he has sufficient quality it would be a yes from me.
We were indeed. Happy for him to come in as a winger but it's another full back that isn't great defensively. Seems pointless as Kiko is probably better than him anyway. But if it gets Janmaat out of the club then great.
He will certainly fit in if this is anything to go by http://www.espn.co.uk/football/club...tletico-as-bruno-peres-endures-torrid-evening
