We have adequate options in wide positions now I’d rather cash in and invest in other positions.

He's definitely one of the latest boo boys. Not a brilliant player but far more reliable and effective that Carrillo.

With limited ability he fought well and was effective at holding the ball up, until referees kept penalising him for 50-50 calls,.

He's a bit like a less talented Sterling, with good runs and hard work giving the team more space to run in, but with not enough end product considering the lack of goalscoring potential around him.

He wasn't good enough to start each week, but would have been a good option to have towards the end of last season if he wasn't so despised by the biggest idiots in the stands. Instead, the hated simpletons made his departure rather more acrimonious than it needed to be, for a player that seemed to genuinely care and gave his all to the club.

I don't despise him or anything like that. His effort is clear for all to see.

Unfortunately his end product is not.

Absolutely nowhere near up to this level. Abysmal, almost non-existent goals and assists record in the past 3+ years because of his terrible end product and decision making. Definitely time for him to go.

No idea why people are fooled into classing him as "effective" because he ran aroind a lot. Watford fans do love a trier, even when they are clearly painfully out of their depth talent wise.

"It's a promising break for Watford, Amrabat has options left and right, just needs to find the right pass, ok, he's checked back inside, Janmaat's now overlapping from full back, just needs to knock it into his stride... oh, he's turned outside now. Now he's battling with two opponents, desperately shielding the ball, oh he's won a throw in after taking 16 touches and ignoring four team mates"

Warm round of applause from the upper GT stand for his wholehearted efforts.

Ridiculous and unfair. Anyone who has ever watched him play would know he'd concede a freekick for shirt pulling in that scenario.

He was awful to watch. Why cross the ball when you can take your man on again, and again, oh look I've lost the ball.

    Bye.

Author of a very good Mondial with the Atlas Lions, Nordin Amrabat frowns the Saudis. The Al-Nasr Club has made an interesting offer in Watford, but English leaders are greedy. The details...

Moroccan international Nordin Amrabat salutes the Saudis after his performance at the 2018 World Cup. It is the subject of an interesting offer from Al-Nasr.

The daily "Riyadh" reveals that the club of the capital formulated an offer of three million euros (nearly 33 million dirhams). A proposal rejected by the management of Watford because considered insufficient. English leaders demand double the amount, or nearly 60 million dirhams to free the Moroccan player. But the story does not say if the main interested wants to join Saudi Arabia.

And this on Twitter (43k followers so possibly credible???)

The management of # victory received initial approval from the management of the English club Watford to sell the Moroccan contract Noureddine Marabit and the player agrees to his contract of victory.

Shame, I've always rated Noureddine Marabit. That'll teach us to be greedy English leaders LOL.gif

  18. Good little player. Caused problems for most defences he played against and had a hand in some damned good goals.

I enjoyed watching him, especially when he turned outside. The only petiod when I thought he played poorly was in the final months under Walter, coming back from his injury, when he stopped trying to go around players and turned inside instead.

I agree it is time for him to go. Just can't understand the playground venom directed at him by some.

Good little player. Caused problems for most defences he played against by half ripping their shirts off their backs and had a hand in some damned good goals by playing a 10 yard sideways pass 5 or so minutes before the goal itself.

Not the worst Pozzo signing, not the best. Never felt suited to the prem and he never looked like he particularly enjoyed himself. Think his best performance was that just before he got loaned off. Plays in a position we have good cover for so this makes a lot of sense

Not sure there is much venom from most people. He tried hard but is just significantly below the standard required so a simple thanks for his efforts and goodbye is in order.

Quite. If, as reported, he gets a bumper contract at a Saudi club at 31 years old, I'm sure most people would be happy for him as he always gave his all and seems like a nice bloke.

Only difference is Tommy Mooney scored and set up goals - even in the Premier league for the short time he was fit.
