I've had to use ebay/paypal's dispute resolution before (where the seller claimed he would be suing me for "...deformation..." which really amused me as I'm a materials scientist) and got back the grand sum of £4.99. I've ordered something from Amazon and I've had a look at their version of dispute resolution for non-delivered goods and it doesn't look too user friendly.

Anyone gone through 'it' with them?

Years ago I bought a DVD off of a seller on Amazon, the DVD was faulty (no actual fault of the seller) however the person refused to reply to my messages and I raised it with Amazon who refunded me. That must have been about 8 years ago or so, I wouldn't know how things have changed though.

Use Amazons live chat. Nearly always had a positive result when faced with problems.

Yep I've complained about 3 or 4 things. If the price is small (not sure what the limit is, all mine have been less than a tenner) then it seems you get a refund no questions asked. I didn't need to return anything or send any proof at all. Just followed the online instructions.

Amazon are absolute arses to marketplace sellers. In the odd clai or two I've made, I've opened a dialogue with the seller through the amazon platform and the seller has sorted it out immediately.

With respect to direct Amazon purchases, again returning stuff has never been an issue. The only sour experience I have had is a PS3 that failed 2 weeks out of warranty and Amazon were very quick to palm me off on to Sony, who would only offer a refurbished unit with a 3 month guarantee at £20 less than I could buy a new one .

Live chat as Diamond said is your friend if the built in tools don't work. I think non delivery reports can only be filed for non-market place stuff?

It looks like 3+2 days - actually quite similar to ebay's (although I seem to remember it was done through paypal):

I'm possibly being too cautious as it's 'only' a day 'late'.

Yep. You'll get "sorry it's taking longer than expected" status in a day or two.

Let me know how the gloves work out as a single meister I'm interested. Would need an XL though.

@wfcmoog and I 'go through' a lot of gloves. It's all that 'riding'.

FWIW it's the RDA stipulation that white gloves have to be worn - my son's normal riding gloves (they look like Alan Patridge's driving gloves and cost about the same) aren't suitable.

    Eghh
Got to send something back. Post office is my preferred option. They don't do labels anymore so I have to take my phone and a QR code that they'll scan and print there.

Ballache why can't I just print the label myself.

So my wonderful Lidl purchase of inflatable loungers: one of them split. I can't find a receipt but it's plastered in Lidl logos and if push comes to shove I'll get a bank statement with the spend on it. "No" I'm told, I have to phone up the customer service department in Scotchlanderland - I'm not full of hope. I phone and say when I purchased it and give a couple of codes on the product and next day I get a letter to take back into the shop with the lounger to get a full refund.

Took the QR code to the post office, they printed the label job done.

By the time I'd got back to work Amazon had been informed that it had been posted and arranged an instant refund. (discalimer that it may be un refunded if the item wasn't received or not in good condition)

    So A+ from me.
