I'd love to follow the 'composer' around singing 'I've got a song that will get on your nerves' for 8 days straight. Then he'd have some idea of what 23 seconds of this crap did to me.

 

Which is great, as long as he's not as slow as a CB when the balls on the ground !

 

Is there another video which shows that he can defend ? As the name of the video suggests this is just the attacking side of his game and Holebas could release a similar video to this with no hint of the liability he is at the back.

 

Well there is this - a mix of attack & defence. Clearly better than Holebas, in the video at least. Oh - and mute the sound...

 

I'd love to do one of these videos for Holebas - have him highlighted with a computer generated spotlight as he stands hands on hips watching a forward run by him to score, a montage of him shouting and snarling, a stupid sending off every now and again, numerous foul throws, free kicks in promising positions totally wasted, corners not beating the first man - and all to a banging dance track.

Sadly I don't have the expertise. If anyone could do that, it would make my year.

 

Has Holebas ever been sent off for us?

 

No. Ref's realise he makes us much worse being on the pitch so do reverse psychology and punish us by leaving him on.

 

Sign him up. Then explain to Javi that Kiko is a better full back than Janmaat... otherwise we need a new right back as well.

 

Don't think Femenia is great as a winger honestly, but as a full back he looked much more comfortable.

 

Can't see the Pozzos messing about with the right back side of things this window. Kiko and Jaanmat are more than adequate. Our current priority is LB (Messina?) And ensuring we have enough fit and competent CBs.

 

This only goes back six years, in which time he hasn't been red carded at all. His yellow cards spiked alarmingly after signing for us, but prior to that he didn't appear to be getting too much game time anywhere.

Also, wouldn't it be a bit weird to shove Serie A's best left back out of the door after only one season (and without even telling him), to a newly promoted Premier League club?

 

He's flawed but if Hollybush had been a top left back he would never have come to us in our first place

My apologies! Can't find anything to support my confusion, but I was absolutely certain that Holebas being named in the squad of the year was discussed on here, along with him keeping Ashley Cole out of the Roma team.

 

Not sure Janmaat is as poor as some say and actually I feel that him and Kiko work quite well together. If he comes up against a fast winger then I agree he struggles but I hoestly can't see us getting another right back when there are other positions that definitely need some new blood

 

If he comes up against any sort of winger he struggles. They are all quick compared to him. Great going fwd but can't defend at all.

Trouble with Jaanmat tracking back is more to do with his over commitment or lack of anticipation of the danger regarding the counter. His speed going forward with or without the ball is impressive. His judgement of when to tackle is poor and his technique highly suspect. If I recall correctly he has injured himself more than once by sliding in prematurely by going to ground. If he works on the defensive side and stays on his feet more he would be less open to criticism.

 

Yeah, I'll take that with a punch of salt as the current WhoScored Premier League Team of the Season has a back four containing James Tomkins, Mustafi and Monreal. If anyone thinks they're the three best players in their position in the whole league they need their head examined.

 

I think its more than that. He runs and covers ground but I'm not sure he has a real sprint in him. From a standing start he always seems to slow to block a cross.
