Huge setback. The whole season ? Surest sign yet that his head has been turned by a prem league club.
Pulled his hammy while doing a little jig of delight after scamming his way to a contract renewal I'm hearing.
I've said it before but giving him a four year deal is up there with the most ridiculous things we've done in the last 10 years.
It really is a bizarre decision on the face of it. I wonder what the thinking was. Did they learn nothing from Janmaat ? Maybe given his injury record there is some form of pay-as-you-play mechanism in the contract, but probably wishful thinking.
Lol. Hopefully won't feature again ever. Especially if we're going to play 352 under Tom more there's no use for him even when fit; it's essential that we bring in FB/WBs with more attacking output.
Is the new deal 4 years or do you mean the contact we had official confirmation of? Either way I agree with what you say but I thought they'd refused to confirm/deny the new contract so we don't know its length.
What a terrible waste of a signing he's been. Not very good to begin with, never got any better, injury prone, totally useless. Hopefully there's a L1/2 club stupid enough to take him.
You could not make this up!!! Apparently he tweaked a muscle in training this week and is out for the last two games of the season He really has to go....Oh! but we have just given him a new long term contract WHY!!!
I've been given a bit of news which would put doubt on Ngakia playing much next season anyway, injured or not. Also, wouldn't shock me if we didn't announce his new deal because we give him to Udinese this summer.
I am not sure, but I hope it has not been signed yet!!! No disrespect to Ngakia, but we cannot afford to carry an injury prone player, this is unfortunate for JN. However, buisiness is business and that is just the way it is.
So are we renewing his deal with the view of selling him, with Udinese as a backup plan in the not at all unlikely event of no-one wanting him?
Don’t know - I’m hypothesising a bit as I’m lead to believe we may be taking a couple of FB’s from them. So renewing Ngakia’s deal, but not announcing it COULD be a prelude to him going the other way.
Another Watford flop who can't even stay fit, meanwhile we get someone like Ferreira, bet they'll be delighted with that lol
Still no idea how Joao Ferreira was looked at in pre-season and not considered better than Andrews or Ngakia.
Wonder how the movements between us and Udinese will be affected if, as seems likely, Udinese are relegated.
He probably was considered better - which might be one of the reasons he was sent to Serie A instead. But the main reason is likely because Andrews and Ngakia are both English, and we needed to have a certain number of English players playing for us throughout the season. Without them taking the RB spot we might not have had enough.
