I doubt anything - there'd probably be bonuses for first-team appearances, but at what threshold(s) might depend on what was agreed eg after 10, 20, 50 appearances etc.
The only reason I wondered is because there was an article re Jack Bonham some years after he made those sub appearances for us, including the infamous Leeds United one when it mentioned an appearance on the the bench was worth an extra £1700 per time bonus!
An appearance on the bench for another club (which) earned Watford money? If the compensation for academy players lost a PL club ends up going to an FA panel then I think clubs typically gets £150k every 10 first team appearances (including appearances off the bench) up until 60 appearances, after which point it's £100k every 10 up until 100 appearances. But there are no payments for only being on the bench or coming on for a debut. However, we negotiated and agreed compensation with Utd over Amass rather than it going to an FA panel, so no idea what was arranged behind the scenes.
I think you have miss understood me slightly, I meant a bonus to the player themselves not the previous club.
I wasn't sure - that was why I asked the question in the first line of the post which you quoted. I must say that part of the confusion stems from it being rather odd to be asking the question of a player who plays for another club, as opposed to any bonuses due to our club - as I'm not sure what relevance it is to us. In answer to your intended question - I don't know. According to this random article it's possible, but beyond that no clue: "The nature of such bonuses can vary from player to player. Younger players who have not yet broken into the first team might be rewarded for being named in the match-day squad for a Premier League, FA Cup or League Cup match." https://www.lawinsport.com/topics/features/item/bonus-structures-in-english-professional-football

Well done Shaq Lets hope this is a good sign you will be able to make the step up to our 1st team squad next season!!!
The awards must have been cast early or he can't have had much competition, as he's gone almost 13 games without a goal or an assist. His general stats don't look that good either. I wouldn't be banking on him just yet.
Orient generally tailed off a bit it seems . Definitely had a purple patch of form which youngsters tend to have .
Anyone go to this? https://twitter.com/watfordpodcast/status/1785778005790371930 Sounds like some good ideas and plans but what happens when no doubt in 6 months Gino gets fed up and decide Tom isn't the one and we need another new first team managers? Are they going to have the same connections or beliefs?
Looks like we've converted Jake Watkiss from a winger to a left-back, and he's making a pretty good fist of it too. One of the most improved under 21 players as the season has gone on and is also developing as a decent set-pice taker (left-foot) too. Props to Laken Torres today also. I've never really been that impressed but this afternoon he played in a way which showed I've missed just how well he uses his body when receiving & keeping the ball, and also winning it back. Lots to like about Adu-Poku. Some of his close control and trickery was excellent, but his decision making and need to shoot rather than find a team mate was infuriating. Plenty to be optimistic about though. Abbott is a decent defender but also a very calming influence. Defence looks a lot better with either him or Mullins at the centre. Ortelli in goal is a decent keeper and also VERY comfortable with the ball at his feet. Very vocal too. Lots to like about him. Young Shevchenko came on and found out just how different the physicality is between under 18s and the 21s. Has an interesting running style and looks like a handful when in a physical battle as he's all arms and legs. I'm pretty sure he only has the requisite number of limbs but at times their centre-halves must have felt like they were up against a very excitable octopus! A much better showing from most compared to when I watched last time out, thankfully.
Not really, no. They're all, to a man, guilty of being flat/leaden footed at vital times - probably a positional thing and/or indecision - and passing is too erratic from most. I'd say Abbott is the most likely, but not next season. Incidentally, even for a right-footer he plays comfortably on the left of a central two. His passing with his left foot looked better today too. I can't honestly see anyone breaking through next season though from those on display today or who haven't already been on the bench like Grieves, Messiah-Edwards and Eames. Even for those three it's going to require a bit of a leap to make the kind of impact Andrews has this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see Roberts as #2 keeper though, with Macaulay getting a 5th tier or League Two loan.
Cleverley did say at the fans forum there will be 3/4 youngsters who train with the 1st team squad in Pre season but guess that depends on who is still here and who goes out on loan .
I think that is often the case though, but doesn't mean that they'll end up being included as part of the first team squads once the season actually kicks off.
