Shows again football is just moments. Any joy tranmere got from beating our u23s will have now evaporated. Had we won on thurs, we'd have probably been smashed today as well.

 

We certainly would have got tonked. Well worth having a mini winter break by losing on Thu.

Wasn't there also a match - maybe even against Luton - when Denis Law scored 5 for Man Utd only for the match to be abandoned after about 80 mins due to fog?

It was Man City at Luton. Law actually scored 6 that day before it was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. He scored in the game when it was replayed but they lost that one 3-1

 

Same as us when we play Citeh.

A reserve team - but 6 experienced players started so a worse result than ours.

 

As I understand it the Manure didn't have to play two matches in midweek. That was the travesty.

 

Lootown should be permanently fog-bound. In statute. Would shut down that effing airport too.

 

It's good to see anyway that even Liverpool's 'B' Team is only League One level.

 

Don't get me wrong, There is talent there.

I certainly argued on here that Sarr wasn't a waste of money and that Masina would come good for us.

My point was that a few players move from South America and look ready straight away. I get the sense that JP won't be able to make a decisive impact this season, although I hope I'm wrong.
