I don't think we should judge a player on his past clubs. He has clearly developed recently and if he is doing enough to impress our scouts then he could be worth having a closer look at. Seems to have very quick feet and can certainly pick out a pass. I would suggest that he needs players to actively be running into space, which none of our wide fast players seem capable of doing.

 

Was he at Dons long enough to claim homegrown?

 

Oh I don't. Not every time anyway. Marvin Zeegelaar has played for Ajax and Sporting Lisbon and he's one of the worst defenders I've ever seen.

Yeah, I'll freely admit to having never watched him, but I'm also not sure why I should; he's a 25 year old who doesn't even play for the best team in Serie B.

What on earth would we be doing signing him?! Add to the fact that I'm not sure where we'd be wanting him to play, unless Gracia has indicated a desire to completely change the formations he sets out, or another manager has been lined up already to replace him as well and is absolutely demanding a decent Italian-second-division playmaker to seal the deal.

There are many positions we should be looking to change or replace before attacking midfielder, especially if Deulofeu ends up signing, and I cannot see this making any headway whatsoever.
