He has been fit all his career until last seasons injury which has had a knock on effect this season. This is the sad part. The fact that he did not play all that much at Udinese in his first season and Juventus in his last was purely down to the manager and not fitness. Such a shame as he is near world class on his day. Always invariably makes the right decisions. I was hoping he, Richarlison and Carillo could all play together as it would be razzle dazzle football.
Some Twitter person posted a photo of him hailing a cab or something after the game yesterday. If legit, he didn't have crutches or whatever.
Yesterday as soon a he realised there was a goal on he moved away from his marker so when receiving the pass from Rich he has an easy finish, he is a very clever footballer you can see him really thinking about what he does, apart from getting injured he rarely makes mistakes.
I seriously think it's psychological more than anything now. He has a touch of the Janmaat's about him. Until he come through once of those physical man on man jostling for possession things without any adverse effect he'll probably struggle to get over it.
It's his decision making that marks him out as a class above . I sometimes feel sorry for the guy that he's ended up playing for us . Hopefully he ll do brilliantly for next 2 seasons and we sell him to Chelsea for 40 mill.
Yeah he's just been unlucky since he came to us . Transfermarket shows he's previously only ever had one other serious injury in his career which was a 3 monther . He's 26 now ,so pretty injury free . I think it's safe to say that there is nothing wrong with him psychologically . https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-pereyra/verletzungen/spieler/112302
GD, How do I find the pic on this thing you call twitter ? I had a google but couldn't find it . I'm busy collating my homo erotic scrapbook of RP and need more source material .
Hope for his sake it isn't another medium/long-term injury. Not sure how reliable Transfermarkt.com is but according to them he's missed 52 games through injury since October 2015.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/15613666.Sources_confirm_extent_of_Pereyra_injury/ Wobby saying he'll miss Stoke game. I'd guess he'd probably miss Everton game after then it's International Break.
In fairness I meant as a result of his knee injury, not career history. It's probably too early to call it but he'd be far from the first pro to lose confidence after a serious injury. If he has I'm sure it'll come back slowly.
His forward play isn’t in question to me it’s his tracking back to help Femenía/ Janmaat that needs to improve! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Apparently, Carillo and Pereyra are at the club shop today doing signings. If Pereyra asks you to sign his leg cast in return, its time to worry.
I'm worried a child might try and shake his hand and that will be him out for the rest of the season.
If Pereyra, Jan Maat and Kaboul wave goodbye to each other at the same time, the subsequent air turbulence could cause career ending injuries for all three .
This kid saw him at the WFC shop signing looking like this, and thought it was the new away kit so got his mum to copy it...
Extremely worried as Kaboul has rented a bouncy castle for his kid's birthday party and invited the other two. Don't expect to see them again this season.
According to this fella's Twitter - he was at the training ground today with Silva, meeting this lucky young fan: https://twitter.com/lewisboulter/status/922906312308133889 Can't see any crutch laying around nearby, so hopefully it isn't anything serious.
He looks a bit small and that dangly red badge may lead to him being strangled by Shawcross in a horrible Isadora Duncan esque moment. ( Without the car obviously, unless Stoke park the bus!)
