Cant be @rsed doing a proper preview with jokes and research. In terms of crappy architecture , just google search “ building + Cardiff” and every result should suffice . Please proceed . We can even discuss Everton game seeing as nobody did a review .
In the old days, someone would have written it in Welsh. Oh well. For rather characterless tall buildings, please see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_and_structures_in_Cardiff As this is a home match & in the interests of balance:
Clever the way that "Copyright Francis Frith" banner hangs across the street. Must win game. WFC 0 Welsh taffys 2 Dewch ar Watford.
A game we may actually win. A lot depends on the official of course. If we get a fair one then we have a good chance. Cardiff are pretty resilient though, so if we have of our many “off days” up front, this could be a problematic fixture. However, I think we have enough about us to get the 3 points.
Good grief, seriously? He’s absolutely dreadful. Remember him from our Championship days? He hates us more than Oliver, Moss, Mason, Friend, Probert and Taylor put together.
Yup, seriously. This is his first PL game of the season too (and only second ever, which was oddly also a Watford home game). So he's bound to want to make a statement to impress the bigwigs.
This is getting ridiculous. So we get yet another rookie. I remember how bias he was in the Championship. Always going against us at every opportunity. I thought we’d got away from him. His brother was sacked and he was the better of the two.
Not even many of the Cardiff residents could do that. Wrong part of Wales. They do, however, have the Millenium Stadium which, with a big game going on inside and the roof closed, is my vote for best stadium in the land.
I don't mean any disrespect to Cardiff, and I even quite like Colin now, but if we can't win this one we're in trouble.
They won't be pretty. They are arguably bad enough to go straight back down. But they will not be meek and it will very easy to underestimate them. The last 3 teams to visit them have found that out.
I knew there was a good reason for not double-appealing Capoue's red card! We are marked out as troublemakers and they will make us suffer.
I watched them beat Wolves, and they are a typical warnock team. Paterson up top goes down when someone breaths in his direction and how some of these players are playing premier league football is beyond me, If Harry the hornet was one on one with Rolls I'd put my house on Harry to do him every time. They've grinded out some results that I'm surprised with, I thought they were going down with a worse record than Derbys. I was a bit worried going into the Huddersfield game as it would be typical Watford to of given them 3 points, but I think we've turned a corner and have learned to manage these games at home. Confident this one is nothing but a home banker. Watford 1 Cardiff 3
They have a Poundland Tom Selleck ex right back up top who has already outscored all of our strikers.
Like the Huddersfield game, if we want to be a consistent mid-table side with ambitions of looking up towards the Europa League spots and not down towards the relegation spots, we need to win this type of match. Cardiff can't be underestimated however, especially with our shaky form of late
They haven't won away all season ... Bit like Newcastle hadn't won at all and Leicester at for a whille .. Let's hope it's not a hat trick !!
The old Watford Pond photo is at least still recognisable as the same area. We haven't progressed like Cardiff has. This was how their main shopping street, Queen Street, looked a 100 years ago. And here it is today! There's lovely.
Tanni Grey Thompson had her wedding reception at the Cardiff Bay Hotel,I was there disguised as a tennis player. I quite liked the city. I think the word I would use to describe Cardiff under Colin is 'robust'. Has anyone found Colin's eyebrows for him yet?
Perfectly fine without the eyebrows. Creates a mysterious, Middle Eastern drag act vibe. The bay area is a treat & there’s the unexpected Norwegian chapel. On a scale of Venus to Serena, where does Lady GT fall? Doesn’t suffer fools, I’m informed.
No sign on the usual financial sites of the Luftwaffe being involved in any form of retail investment or consortium.
