My comment saying "Well he has admitted he doesn't really like football... just sees it as a job" Or were you sort of disliking the fact Capoue feels like that?
I think I heard him speak English once. I think. Can't remember when. But he definitely does. Luke Dowling can try again sweetheart.
For all he comes across as lazy, the stats say that he is no. 15 in the league in distance covered. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/premier-leagues-20-hardest-working-9138882 (I know this was in December, but I don't think he is moving less now than he was) He has a very odd running style which gives the impression he is just loping along.
He also does **** all when he gets to where he's running and seems to run away from the action, which give the impression that he's lazy
According to the Opta stats on the BBC site, Etienne Capoue runs fewer kilometres per game, on average, than Gary Cahill - who spends every match standing around on the halfway line while Chelsea camp in their opponents' half. Just goes to prove how lazy Capoue is. The top eight players for most kilometres covered are: Eriksen Kante Milner Sigurdsson Clucas Alli Cahill Capoue Look at him. Bottom of the top eight. Lazy. Just lazy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39940462
He may or may not cover a lot of ground, but it means **** all if he can't influence a game consistently which he has proven he cannot, which is exaggerated most in Midfield.
May or may not? Only seven players in the PL cover more ground than him. This sums up how poop some of our fans are at being fans. Good people. Just s** t fans.
I don't think he's lazy at all. He's just inconsistent. Some people just tend to notice the 'off' days more than the 'on' days.
This is difficult to get one's head around. I think that he is very unintelligent in his runs. For example at least three times a game he will needlessly flail up to close down the keeper (worked against Swansea yes) but not sure if it is consistently effective. He is just a tricky one. Doucoure definitely delivers a more pleasing performance to the eye. In a position that both should be competing for.
He does get around the pitch a lot but how many times does he track back after being the reason we lose the ball. Too many times all he does is wave his arms in the air, hence the look of being lazy.
Capoues problems is he has no natural position His definitely not a defender, not a holding or wide midfielder, a play maker, an enforcer, a number 10. He just has no position that you could call his own His just a footballer
Apparently he actually ran the most miles for us during the season- then again he seemed to one of the few who stayed injury free. Probably because after a bright start the bloke didn't really put his foot in.
I doubt a single player knew what the heck Wally wanted them to do... tackle don't tackle attack defend play short play long run stand still... as such it's unfair to judge any of them on the last 12 months
If anyone doubts how real FIFA 17 is should just put Capoue in their team . He's as sh1t on that as he is in real life
He plays well for me in FIFA. Has average long shot but seems to find the top corner 7 times out of 10.
Agree with this. Just because someone is reported he runs a lot doesn't mean much really, if you watch him during a game he does not appear to sprint much, more of a trot, because of his long stride he is able to cover ground quite well but seldom does he get to the ball first or if chasing an attacker get in front/goal side, if you do neither of these with any regularity you will not affect the game. He has a lot of talent but consistently fails to apply it in my opinion, his problem is in his head and with motivation and will be difficult to change, perhaps the new head coach/coaching staff will have more success. If you do not get to the ball first how can you hope to influence the game, the number of metres run is not an indication of influence.
Hate that all managers seem to love him and play him all the time. Sometimes I think managers should sit in the stands so they can see what we all see - that he is a lazy **** who needs replacing.
He's another one I'm reserving judgement on until I see what Silva can get out of him. We all know he's talented so it's more of an attitude thing. If he appears to be exactly the same come January under Silva, then maybe it'll be time to move him on. However, he could be fantastic playing for the right coach.
I have a theory that Capoue is solar powered. He starts and finishes a season with a little more effort due to the increase in sunlight. If you look closely you can actually see the photo voltaic cells on the palms of his hands every time he points at the sky
For the life of me don't see how he starts so many games, that's TWO accomplished managers who have played nearly every game. Weird.
That's because you're good at it PJ and I'm rubbish . I'm classic yo yo , in that I crawl my way up to division 7 , get spanked and plummet down to division 10. Repeat and wash
Was straight down Occupation Road with luggage and then straight onto the back of moped at the end of Occupation Road? Express service to an airport? God knows but was rather weird! He can't be that desperate for a holiday over the international break can he!?
