So we’ve signed this guy but letting Success go out on loan after he’s now back to fitness? Indefensible. Deulofeu was an exciting aberration.
Success has asked for a loan apparently as the Nigeria coach has told him he can make the World Cup squad if he plays games in the next few months. Plus this guy can't be any worse than Success, he looks like he can control a football which is already a step up from Isaac.
Doubt he would have been announced, photographed holding the shirt and given a squad number if he was. He’s staying and wouldn’t mind betting he’s the attacker Leventhal mentioned.
well there goes the ability to be able to pronounce most of our squad (not that I care if he is any good)
He can also play on the left as well (he is actually predominantly left footed), so backup for Deulofeu and Richie.
As IRB has said... Dodi has joined yesterdays opponents Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan, confirmed by the German club this afternoon. I think it's for a season, the translation isn't crystal clear. https://www.f95.de/aktuell/news/pro...s-offensive/32354ed6ece9116bbdafae640d7e8c63/ DODI LUKEBAKIO REINFORCES FORTUNAS OFFENSIVE LEFT FOOT IS LOST BY FC WATFORD Dodi Lukebakio will strengthen the Fortuna in the coming season. Subject to pending formalities, the 20-year-old offensive player will be loaned by Premiere League club Watford. The Belgian with Congolese roots played 45 minutes for Watford (1: 3) in yesterday's Fortuna friendly match and joined the team at the training camp in Maria Alm on Sunday evening. Lukebakio completed 33 games for RSC Anderlecht and RSC Charleroi in the Jupiler Pro League (four goals and five assists) before joining FC Watford in the winter break of the previous season. The 20-year-old also has four appearances for the Belgian Under-21 national team and a commitment in the senior team of the Republic of Congo. Friedhelm Funkel, head coach: "Dodi Lukebakio is a fast player who also has good technique. He has great development potential and should be introduced to the Bundesliga."
We get royalties to Old Spice adverts for evermore? This may well turn out to be the best Pozzo signing ever.
I love the casual way that a team we are playing in a meaningless friendly, snaps up our 8th choice winger on loan after a non eventful half of football.
Wasn't it him (Dodi) who missed the open goal from virtually behind the line?! They must marvel at the rest of our forwards.
They were probably impressed by the way he bashed the ground repeatedly in frustration before slapping his own head...
He might never get to be a WFC starter, but I think he has some talent. This is a great loan and if he is any good we'll find out.
Going to be a big miss this season. This is what happens when you run out of seats on the plane home though. Let that be a lesson to the squad ahead of the Burnley trip this season.
Nice to see one of our old sponsors on the Fortuna shirt. Anyone know when we played with Henkel on our shirts?
