What's up? Is the Forum being investigated for fraud or something?

I created a new site on wfcforums.con. some little **** forged the domain name purchase form though so it was promptly closed and I'm being investigated.

No problem. Just give me your debit card number and the three digit security code on the back and I'll arrange it for you.

Not joking, I think it's me breaking it, or at least I'm seeing some strange symptoms just before the site goes down.

When quoting a post and replying to it, I suddenly can't use any spaces in my reply. This happens on 2 separate PC's in separate locations. To get round this I have to reply right after the quoted post rather than below it, then when I post it the forum dies.

    Using Chrome.

There's nothing different with your account, so I'm at a loss there.

    Chrome is ****.

Well it just happened again, (the spaces thing), so I jumped to Firefox and it's OK. Are the hosts giving you any idea what the cause is?

Yeah I know Chrome can have it's moments but compared to Internet Explorer it's fantastic.

Living in the past mate. IE has been replaced by Edge. Edge is worse.
    Waterfox ftw.

Nothing from the hosts. I raised a support ticket yesterday and the site got fixed so I closed the ticket. don;t know if it was them of the web fairies.

Hmmmm. No umbongo flavour (on Software Centre)?

EDIT: Ahhhhh! Because we've already got 64bit Firefox (which will be standard anyway).

I know I keep going on about this but I still get intermittent rights issues.

Trying to create a signature was hit and miss as the option kept coming and going. Now I see it maybe 50% of the time, perhaps again because my rights keep changing.

    PMing option is intermittently available.

Access to some parts of the site are intermittent.

I guess maybe my account keep switching from standard rights to basic rights and back again. Perhaps there are only enough licenses for so many accounts?! Happens at home as well as work so can't be a server issue at my end.

It's not an account rights issue as you're well away from any thresholds where changes happen.
Everything you mention will require look up to cookies so I'd thin it's either your firewall antivirus or privacy settings that causing the error or a corrupt cache for your browser.

What browser are you using? If you try an alternate before duping your cache and clearing your history and a restart. But you may want to look at your security settings for anti virus software or any privacy/adblocker add ons you have.

It happens at work, at home, and on mobile - 3 different areas - so unless they all have the same issue then it's not at my end. Cleared cache and history and still happens. Didn't sting say he had something similar?

This very second I am looking at the site on desktop and mobile and I'm in the reduced access mode. Ho hum. It's not massive. I can see it enough.

Running Werewolf will be a pain for PMing though so I'll have to go by email if it keeps happening.

Come to think of it, Opti was also having PMing issues a few months ago during Werewolf which could have been a similar issue.

I'll have another look at your account then but to be fair I;m a little foxed.

Optis pm issues were down to the bandwith restriction. Ie sending too many per minute.

Is everyone that experiencing issues all using Chrome?

If so I'll have to install it and try some bug testing. There's no notifications of an incompatibility with the forum software and everything appears up to date so I'm not sure where the issue is.

I use a mix of Edge, IE, Waterfox & Firefox32 & 64 and have not had probs. I'll flag this up to SM#16 as well as he's the tech genius.

I use Chrome with no problems, I stopped using Firefox about a year ago because I found the browser too slow.

Still I say this is probably hardware/OS related ... With Chrome I had the incurable disappearing text syndrome before I switched from XP, I've no such problems with windows 7 on my PC or 10 on my laptop.

Appears to be a Chrome issue since the last update:

Edit: Link simply won't work! Did a quick search on the VBulletin forums and many have noticed the space issue. It's Chrome.
