I thought he wanted to move back to Switzerland? Wasn't that the whole point of his departure?

Good luck to him. Got some good memories of Behrami. Always liked him as a player as well!

Best of luck to him. An absolute warrior at times.

Would love to have had him at watford in his prime.

Not the prettiest on the eye as a player but fully committed to the cause and we always looked a bit more suspect at the back when he wasn't playing. Will be missed but good move for both parties.

It's only about a 6 to 7 hour drive to the border.

Perfectly doable commute. With the change in timezones, that's basically 3/4 hours tops.

If we are lucky, he'll take Amrabat to the airport with him...

Edit: Before anyone moans that I'm having a pop at Amrabat, that was a joke....

...we all know Amrabat would get as far as the departure gate and check back inside.

One or two good games and that was about it.

Gave the ball away consistently, can't pass, too many dodgy back passes, inflexible; can only play one position, slow, very slow.

QSF saw this and kept him as a squad player. WM played him because he was negative enough to fit into his system

    Utter. Nonsense.
Was he ever a standout? No. But he had more than 'one or two' good games. Was never less than a 6/7 out of 10. Yes his legs have gone a bit and he wouldn't get a look in this season so this is a sensible move for all parties. But he's been better for us than you are making out there. Easily better.

Like the Iggy song a true classic...Oh and Behrami was pretty good too! Very much part of our survival in the EPL. Bit like Abdi could be somewhat underrated. Knowledgeable fans of other clubs were impressed when they realised we had him. Has operated occasionally in almost a deeper playmaker role for Switzerland. A true character and identity in our dressing room and will miss him as part of the midfield engine room. Best of luck Valon if are off later today. COYHS

Sad to see him go did a lot of work that went unnoticed ,however our midfield has been seriously upgraded ,so best if he does go elsewhere.

Well it's not all nonsense is it. You can't honestly say that Behrami was a good passer, he's probably the worst technical player I've seen in the last few years. Can't fault the commitment though.

In fairness his ability with the ball was not great. There were definitely games when he was less than 6/7 out of 10 but also some good ones

Love him and wish him the best, like someone else mentioned if he'd come a few years earlier he could really have become a legend. A very likeable player with a great work ethic.

Yes a key player to get us established in the Premier League. Like Cassetti, you wish he was 28 when he arrived as he would be a monster player for us. Clearly he wanted away from the UK and this was known early this year, hence our recruitment of midfield players. Fortunately I don't think his loss will be significant, with a strong set of options available. Can see Watson being retained if Behrami goes (unless someone matches his sale value on Ginos' list).

Good luck to Valon. Really liked him as a player for us and I agree that it's a shame we didn't have him when he was younger. Always committed to the cause and at times he was the only real "pain in the backside" midfielder that did the pressing and harrissing of the opposition. Sometimes he was a nightmare to play against. He has helped us get established in the Prem and for that we should be grateful. We will also miss his hair styles - somewhere in the local area, a hairdresser is cancelling their bulk standing order of blonde/bleach.

I always rated him and still do. Will be a miss but hopefully we have others now who can fill the gap. Should be long remembered for helping us to establish ourselves in the prem.

Good luck to Valon , been a great servant to the club , but with the Pickford rumours picking up steam on the forum boards it's no surprise the clubs senior hierarchy and boardroom heavyweights want to move Behrami on.

Valon still plays internationally for the current 4th rated country in the World. Still a great player who has given us much over the last 2 years. Hope his knees hold out for a nice finale in Italy. Will miss him and one of our best ever chants '...better than an army is Valon Behrami...' Best of luck Valon.

I ******* hate the term 'great servant'.

He's a footballer, and like many others he gives a few hours a week to train and play in return for lots and lots of money.

We've also paid a lot of money over the years on players wages who gave us nothing in return. I know the type of 'servant' I'd prefer.
