Hughes looked the classier of the two in today’s game . Pereyra is classy when he shows it but for someone with his technique he fails to stamp himself on the game .
As soon as he scored I turned to the person next to me and said it's a bit embarrassing when the clubs first goal of the new season is goal of the season. It'll take some beating..
it was a great goal but he was totally unmarked and the keeper had chocolate wrists. There'll be better scored this season I reckon. it was one of my favourite goals in ages though, don't get me wrong.
Good interview with Maxi in today’s Times. Makes a big thing about his popularity within the club and his attitude.
@Ghost of Barry Endean has posted it on another thread. Not sure which. You might be able to find it in his post history.
We'll give it a shot Woah, we're half way there Woah, livin' on Pereyra Take my hand, we'll make it I swear Woah, livin' on a Pereyra
Roberto Pereyra, what a guy. A minute of his time to make someone's day: https://twitter.com/jshhornet/status/1036345155761135617?s=19
Good interview with Bobby P today Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra conducted an exclusive interview with GianlucaDiMarzio.com, where the ex-Juve player discussed the club's ambitions for a Premier League season that has seen the Hornets get off to a roaring start. Pereyra also commented on the state of the bianconeri: "I think Juve are terrific. Now that they have CR7 there is even more quality there, they are definitely stronger. I am backing them to win the Champions League. I would have enjoyed playing with Ronaldo, who wouldn't? Torino? They discussed bringing me and I know that Mazzarri wanted me but at the end I decided to stay at Watford because in the past few years, thanks to some injuries, I couldn't give my best effort. Our objectives? As before, it is to remain in the top league and we have to achieve that as soon as possible. Javi Gracia is a really good coach, he has impressed me in particular with the way he handles the group: he makes everyone feel important, those who play and even those who don't. He puts trust in us and on the field you can see that. Argentina? I want to return to the national team. I am working continually towards that and I await my opportunity. I am calm but I believe strongly, if things continue like this..." https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/wat...up-juve-are-favorites-to-win-champions-league
It's really positive to see the experienced players at the club continuing to praise Javi, when we all know if they didn't like him they'd just say nothing at all.
He's an extremely popular figure at the club. Knowing this, it's easy to see why the players are running through brick walls for him right now. His "nice" demeanor for the cameras almost detracts him as a serious coach. But, he's not weak minded and easily swayed. His great strength is getting into the mindset of the players and treating them as men, giving them responsibility. Watford are fortunate to have players at the club who respond well to this type of management. Deeney, Holebas, Capoue are three that readily spring to mind, but there are others too. Once a few of the senior, influential players are on board, this sets the tone and others tend to follow.
Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya Kumbaya, my Lord, kumbaya Oh, Lord, kumbaya (oh, Lord, kumbaya) PS I love Bobby P
I deny your lies, which I think is fair enough. Only someone with an agenda, like you, and about 4 others on this forum, always do this sort of thing. You add nothing to the forum, only like to stir the **** with abusing people for no reason. I guess you think you're funny, but your abusive hyperbole style is that of a 14 year old. I'm guessing you are older than that, as "you used to be a top professional" in your time...….and always use this argument to try and win a debates on football, which is tiresome. Your opinion is no better than anyone else's just because you've played football. You don't like me, which is fine. Just put me on your ignore list and it's happy days for everyone.
Considering my likes to post ratio in comparison to yours I'd say you should feel damn lucky I engage with you at all.
