Perhaps he had one, many or all of the following:

    Funny Bazooka Joe style hat.
    Enormous ear phones.
    Sleeve tattoos.
Vast quantities of cheese and onion crisps.
    Huge wads of cash.
    Dolly bird* by side.
    Copy of Pig Breeders Gazette.

    * For those of you under 30 still reading a 1970s expression for attractive female companion.

Markovic - he's invisible so it's difficult to spot.

Apparently he went down to the dugout to join the team at the end of the game.

All these things suggest footballer, and top flight at that, though status would rather hang on the aspect of the dolly bird (said phrase being no guarantee of quality since tbe first day it was coined, probably by Rodney Green, and probably in the snug of the Rose and Crown, Market Street, Watford).

If it had been pig shaggers gazette it may even have suggested some form of political allegience.

Being sceptical he could just be a family member or something? This needs more investigation.

If we haven't got the brand of his coat or the outline of a receipt in his back pocket to go on we're screwed.

I've come down to the snug at the Rose and Crown to find out what I can but have got distracted. Beavers everywhere, and the smell of sea air.

From latest rumours transfer to Napoli is failing, so Karnezis could come to WFC instead.
Scuffet will be #1 for Udinese next season, a homegrown proud to play for the team of his homeland.
Meret, maybe more talented but a fan of Juventus, will play on loan to Spal (newly promoted to serie A, he'll have some work to do).
Karnezis is a very good GK. Pozzo is not going to gift him to some other teams, so if he might be useful in Hertfordshire, he'll end up being in your team probably.

Lets hope Scuffet is ready for a move to the Premier League in 2018. Gomes will be ready to step aside then.

    Nice to see Sherlock back.
If Karnezis comes to us and with Meret out on loan, will that leave Udinese short of cover Sherlock?

How's the season looking for Ude?

Bizzarri, an "experienced" GK (formerly Chievo in serie A) was bought to be #2. Perisan, another extremely promising 18YO GK will be #3 (strangely, a really prolific generation of promising young goalkeepers in Friuli).

About next season, we fans are quite hopeful. A lot of good young players who might give some surprises to the "big ones".

Karnezis seems like a good alround keeper possibly well-suited to the EPL. Sherlock - could you kindly give us your opinion in case he joins WFC and any other news you have from Udine or Seria A. Best of luck for the new season.

Whilst GK's can play longer than outfield players, I'd really rather we brought in a younger No.2 to Gomes.

He's better than Gomes. He'd likely take the number 1 spot.

Meret looks like a great understudy to Gomes. Already playing first team football in Serie A and he is only 20. He is essentially the Italian equivalent to Lafont

Either way, although a position that will need looking at sooner rather than later, there are other areas of the pitch I'd sooner see sorted first. We can go another year with Gomes and Pantillimon IMO so although the GK situation is on the 'To Do List', I'd place it at the bottom. If it's a position they are looking at as a priority, I'd be looking at homegrown keepers (can't think of any I'd want that are available) or one that is U-21. We need to offload players as it is and I just think 2 foreign keepers isn't ideal as it is, without buying another.

Why? Scuffet most likely wouldn't displace Gomes this year, meaning he'd likely spend most of the season on the bench, he'd be much better off staying at Udinese and being their #1 for the season. Karnezis is ready to come and be #1 for a season or 2 until Scuffet can make the step-up.

Scuffet is a Udinese fan though so apart from for the money why would Udinese sell him to us in the next few years?
More likely that we could do a deal for Meret after his loan this season.

Because Gomes is still good enough to be No.1 this season? And it would likely make more sense to have a younger back-up learning and playing the odd PL game to be ready to take over next year/2 years rather than signing a 32yr old who will be 34 when Gomes deal expires.

I agree it makes more sense as a 'whole' Pozzo group for Scuffet/Meret to stay at Udinese and play - but purely from a selfish WFC viewpoint, it makes more sense to have either youngster over Karnezis given the news about Gomes 2yr deal.

    This.

Meret and Scuffet will dominate the Italian national team for years to come. They can't keep both so I would take either, but prefer Scuffet who's touted as the next Buffon and further along in development.

Forget DeGea...Scuffet is the real deal.
