    I'm beginning to think the people up here have an unnatural obsession with night-time predators of the avian variety.

    I keep seeing OWL on number plates everywhere.

    I like the north. Whenever I go up there Northists seems to be a friendly bunch, happy to say hello or have a conversation. They like to serve proper beer although have a fascination with 3 inches of head I can't understand. Given the price reduction I put up with it.

    Down south if you even look at someone the wrong way you're likely to get murdered.

    My retirement plan involves selling my house at a huge mark-up and then relocating up north to open a pub.
