I thought it was the 3rd game of a ban carried over from the 2nd round of the Italian FA Cup ? We are still technically in the EU so that ban carries over to a similar competition?

Spielplatz is a nudist camp just outside Snorbens. All above board, I'm told. Dunno if Success goes there.

Hopefully he'll start v tranmere and look a bit stronger. At the moment I'm getting severe cream-puff vibes from this fellow.

One of three in Bricket Wood,or rather there used to be when I was growing up!
    Smug Oak Lane I think.
Always think of that Sellers film, with the guitar placed strategically when I think of Spielplatz or Five Acres. Can't recall the other's name.

Made more tackles and interceptions than Pereyra against Villa. And he was only on the pitch for 15 mins, fair to say he likes to get stuck in.

Away from all the negatives on Saturday, this guy looked class. Great touch, great work ethic, good on the ball.

We could do with this guy getting more game time as I think he could be a real bargain and a real difference towards the end of this season.

I'd even suggest he should start on Saturday if Sarr is out.

His dead ball deliveries looked especially good. Sarr, Gerri and Bobby would be ahead of him in the pecking order, but I wouldn't have any problem if he started either.

When I look at the players we have in our squad, we've got more than enough to stay up. Sarr, Deulofeu, Pereyra, Pussetto, Welbeck, even Deeney….it's so much more than any of our rivals down near the bottom. It would be criminal to go down with such quality in the ranks.

He can beat the first man from a set piece, which already makes him a candidate for player of the season

I think he's our bad luck charm, our performances have deteriorated with his introduction even more than with the substitutions of Chalobah.

He's looked powder-puff and has not been involved in things at all with the exception of that one goal-line clearance, and his taking of set-pieces which we still do nothing with.

Honestly I reckon he's a liability. He's more useless than Carrillo was.

Yep I agree with this. I really want him to be good but he's looked dreadful to me. I'm absolutely baffled by Horace's post above.

    Opinions eh?

Pereya has to start. Yes he is light weight but is scoring. We need him in the game more because he offers something different up top. Brighton is the perfect opportunity for him to shine.

Who knows. But as I said in another thread it's not worth the risk unless he's 100% fit. Otherwise he has the winter break to get back match fit.

    How dare you disagree!

On a serious note though, I've watched him the last couple of games he's come on and has good movement, makes space well for both himself and teammates, and has a nice deft touch that he's found his teammates well and put them in to space.

He just seems to have a clever footballing brain.

Fair dos. I really want him to do well but I just don't see it. I never have liked a weedy-framed player though.

But then on the otherhand I think pereyra has been decent for us recently, but everyone on here seems to think he's been appalling.

I agree with you. I think he's far better than some people think. His first introduction where he was brushed off the ball TWICE like a kid, against Spurs, unfortunately sticks in the memory. He's done some good things though. He's clever on the ball and is not scared to get stuck in, which is unusual for a slight winger. I think he's going to be a good signing.

Against Everton, he tried to take the ball around someone but got tackled easily and robbed of the ball. Again, not a good thing to see, but he instantly got back at the player who tackled him and boxed him in so he couldn't make a forward pass, forcing him to check back on himself. So it's a bit of a mixed bag if I'm being fair, but there are good things about him. Once he gets used to the pace and physicality of the Premier League I think he'll do well for us, especially as an option from the bench.

I though Pereyra did alright against Everton even ignoring the goal. A good tell is teams/players don't usually waste time or risk cards trying to kick lumps out of harmless opponents.

It's demonstrative of a pretty common fallacy amongst our fans whenever we're not playing well - because our first choice players are doing crap they somehow conclude that our other players "can't be any worse" even though they actually can.

This fallacy is most commonly observed with our Centre Backs; our best CB is always whichever one isn't being played at any given moment in time, that is until they're eventually given another chance at which point they usually quickly show again why it was they were dropped in the first place and the cycle repeats itself.

Another hugely successful Pozzo signing. He's going nowhere.

    Three cheers for Giraldi!

Our squad is truly terrible. Not so long ago it felt really strong. Remember when we beat reading 2 nil last season? Our second 11 seemed as strong as our first team. Feels like a lifetime ago. The likes of Quina turning in to dog droppings has not helped.

It seems to me that only Pereyra is ever worth subbing on now.

Funny how things change. Shame it is going to result in our relegation.
