Going to have to (hopefully) resist some big bids in the summer. He's made himself a £40m+ player this season.
His work rate is night and day to what it was. He's making his luck a lot more and getting into those positions to score. He needs another Season to develop some more consistency, then sell him for a nice payday and let him move on to bigger things. Don't get me wrong, if we can get European football I think we'll keep him but I see parallels between John Barnes and Deulofeu in terms of him needing that stability to get ready for a big move to a UCL team if we aren't able to offer him it this or next Season.
I think one more season here, and then onto the big time. I certainly wouldn't begrude him a move at that stage, if he left this summer I would feel probably a little bit cheated.
Agreed, I fancy we will get more serious bids for him than Doucoure. Edit, ...than Watford will get for Doucoure. I didn't mean that Doucore will be receiving bids for Gerard.
Out of those three I would sell Bobby. We all know he can be brilliant, but unfortunately not often enough which makes him too much of a luxury player and hence the most dispensable IMO.
He’s got a reputation for being brilliant but inconsistent which is why I don’t see a top 6 coming in for him yet
Agreed, this is his first season for any team where he's not been totally infuriating, hopefully it'll take another season like this until the vultures circle
It is important to note that 7 of his 9 PL goals have come against Cardiff and Huddersfield. He still has plenty to prove at Watford I would have thought.
Brilliant, selfish, lazy. I would say he needs to score more goals to make up for his other traits. Interesting to see the abuse he got from the front rows in the rookery when he failed to chase the defender and keeper yesterday.

Yes, but if a big team come sniffing, they need to know that he's been crap apart from that game, crap I tell ya!
Finished the league season season directly involved in a goal every other game with 10 goals and 5 assists from 30 appearances. If you consider those stats alongside his much sought after attributes of pace, dribbling ability and flair then he shouldn't be going this summer for anything less than an astronomical fee. Felipe Anderson is the measuring stick, and Deulofeu is a year younger and has had a more productive season.
It is a crime against nature for a talent like him to be neutered at a foul club like ours. We have to remind ourselves that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they're gone.

Personally I think 40m euros is too cheap, based on some of the crazy prices out there. I think Gino should play hardball and insist on a minimum of 50m
If I was Gino I’d sell Doucoure and Deulofeu for 100 mill and scientifically test the hypothesis ( if indeed there was one ) that it would be humanly impossible to kill yourself with a diet of nothing but high class hookers and cocaine by the time the season restarted. Think of it like a modern day Brewsters Millions .
