    Re lara croft.

Shes adventurous, a role model for girls, shes intelligent and educated and puts most men to shame with her technical abilty with mechanics, engineering and use of weapons. She's sassy and fun but not a ditz, she almost needs to be attractive because she then suprises stereotypical mens ideology when shes clever. The size of her boobies is not relevant to the other attributes that make up this girl who tramples over every predujice known to men. Besides I'd happily cum on her face rather than her ****.

The original and best Lara Croft was Nell McAndrew. She was a page 3 model at the time.

I'll leave you all with that thought whilst I spend some quality time image searching

Some of it was probably down to the casting choice made in the previous two awful films. Angelina Jolie looked abit like her but she had overly large boobs, naturally or not,she was the wrong choice for the role.

The fact people remember those films mainly for that reason alone is why the girl got cast for the remake. Like you said, a girl with smaller breasts to the male audience at least, would create social backlash if comparing to what the original game designers focused on.

In the TR reboot games, Camilla Luddington did a fantastic job of voicing her, and the character model crafted by Square Enix was much closer to what an “plain jane” Lara might look like.

They used the Angelina Jolie “look and feel” in the new film because it represented what previous fans remembered in what was the highlight of those films. It’s all about money, and as one previous poster said, sex sells.

Since my younger daughter has an appetite for scary films, I have watched the following over the last few nights:
Black Mirror "Playtest" episode - recommended; tense and, ultimately, affecting
The Bird Box - a good yarn but, even going by the standards of an apocalyptic horror film, preposterous
A Quiet Place - really enjoyed this. Original premise and the tension ratcheted up from the opening scene to the last. Helped that I hadn't read about it before seeing it so saw no spoilers.

ITV 4 had The Blues Brothers on last night.
Even Ford and Arthur were up shaking a tail feather with Ray Charles!

I could watch that film every day and wouldn't get bored of it. The scene with the penguin is just genius.

Ford and Arthur said thank you but they're cats!
I did just meet Molly, the WFC supporting dog, in The Goat in St Albans.
She seemed to enjoy the game but probably enjoyed the treats more!

From one extreme to the other. After the scare-fests mentioned in my earlier post, today - on the last day of the girls' holiday - we had our traditional family trip to see a "feel good" film. This year it was Mary Poppins. And I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it; thought it was a very clever "reworking" of the original, even including an impressive cameo by **** Van Dyke.

Edit: slightly ironic that the very wholesome Van Dyke fails the swear filter!

I looked at that to go and watch as I'm a fan of Sherlock Holmes, then I noticed who the stars of the film were and decided to stick pins in my eyes instead as that would be more fun

Ever thought what would happen when the Coen brothers binge watched "Black Mirror" and a series of the best cowboy movies ever made - well they did and they produced "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" 6 stories told in 2 hours - my personal favourite was the third one "Meal Ticket" which stars "Dudley Dursley" (from Harry Potter) and also, finally, answers that often asked question of "What would Liam Neeson singing "The Sash" sound like?" Excellent stuff on Netflix.

Bear, who lives at No.12,which backs onto the club, had his left fore leg removed in October. Some swine kicked him and the nerves in his paw weren't able to repair themselves.
He was up and about as soon as Jackie got him home, survival instinct from the wild I suppose.
Yesterday he was bashing on No.10's front door as I arrived at 8.55am,with his right paw! The little old lady feeds Bear and Soul salmon and he voted for her over my 'Sheba' pouches and kibbles!
    He's very nimble,bless him.
    Sorry,off topic.

I saw Stan & Ollie last night after getting back from Palarse. A really lovely film, surprisingly moving and beautifully played by Steve Coogan and John C Reilly. I loved Laurel & Hardy as a boy, still the greatest double act ever imo.

Watched Saturday Night, Sunday Morning the other day, Albert Finney film from 1960, was a great snapshot of working class northern Britain at the time. Also watched A Star Is Born recently, bloody terrible, songs are ok but the story, booo.

Really enjoyed that. Thrilling and funny all the way through.

Looking forward to watching the sequels now.

Instant Family is a really good watch.

At times quite sad, at times funny. A really easy watch for a wide variety of audiences.

It's ok, lots of action, good CGI...just thin on plot as I found myself distracted and not paying attention....effectively it's another Black Panther....and I thought that was over rated.

Something plot-wise happened in that film that really annoyed me but I can’t remember what it was. Wish I could because it’s great fun to moan about crap films. I’m not watching it again to find out what it was because my word is it a stinker.

It's basically a rehashing of Hamlet just like Aquaman where we know our hero will win in the end. Those 2 films could be devolved into exposition and no one would be any worse off.

Pesronally, the best Hamlet re-telling was The Lion King and it's got catchy songs.

I normally put up with a bad film until the end. Black panther lasted about 30mins.

The last film I walked out of was Batman & Robin. Someone pulled the fire alarm in the cinema halfway through. We were evacuated into the car park and I didn't go back.

My favourite Hamlet re-telling was Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Very subtle and easy to miss the connection due to the change in scenery but storyline basically lifted from the original.
