Phillipine Orn stood before the alter, gazing up at the statue before him. It glittered in the light of 100 candles, and the flickering of the flames occasionally made it look as though the face of the statue moved. Philly closed his eyes and began to pray silently. His lips moved as uttered the words of the Lord’s prayer. There was a creak, and the church door was pushed inwards. Sunlight streamed into the church. Philly briefly turned before and observed the other villagers entering the building. He hurriedly finished his prayers and rose to his feet turning to face the villagers. The group lead by Otter marched towards Philly, halting just short. ‘I hate to do this to you Philly old pal,’ said Otter. ‘I’m afraid you have been found guilty, of crimes against this village.’ Philly smiled, ‘I am guilty of nothing old friend. You have lost your way.’ He looked at the other villagers, ‘You have all lost your way!’ Some shuffled nervously on their feet, the others looked on determined. ‘I will not fight you, I just ask that you make it quick.’ Philly knelt and ripped his shirt apart, exposing his neck. Otter stepped forwards, pulling an old short sword from the scabbard at his waist. He approached Philly, and feeling for the notch in his old friends collarbone, rested the blade against the skin. Philly gripped the back on Otters knees, the only sign of nervousness was a slight tremor in his grasp. ‘On 3 then,’ whispered Otter. Philly nodded, ‘On 3.’ Otter steeled himself, tensing his arm. ‘One…….two……..THREE,’ grunted Otter driving the blade downwards into Philly’s heart. As it struck down Philly gasped, his body shaking. Blood welled around the wound, and then as Otter yanked the blade free burst out of the hole in a gush. Philly swayed on his knees, his eyes rolling in his head until they found Otter. They looked him straight in the eye, before they glazed over. Philly swayed one last time and toppled onto his side. Phillipine Orn was GOOD. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
