I don't know. It was during a lull in my activity on there. I heard the story through the limited medium if the comments.

    Question 8 today.

Either I’m being thick or it was badly worded? ‘Up to 2002 and counting’.... so meaning up to now?

    Because we’ve beaten
    Sweden
twice at tournaments in the last few years.

The football section isn't very well done. You get the same old questions coming round and round *(I still can't remember the answers.) They are randomly selected from various football quizzes in the database. My particular bugbear is one that must have come from a championship quiz from a particular year, although when extracted for the WFC quiz you don't know which year. It asks who were shirt sponsors for Sheffield Wednesday, then lists four actual Sheffield Wednesday shirt sponsors. Without knowing the year, all you can do is guess.

Strange categories and degrees of difficulty in this quiz - Can someone explain:
    Easier
    Intermediate
    Harder
    More difficult

So is Harder harder and more difficult than More Difficult?
    Or
Is More Difficult more difficult and harder than Harder?

I’m assuming Harder is more difficult AND harder than More Difficult
    but
If More Difficult is harder AND more difficult than Harder,
It explains why I’m not doing well ..

    Asking for a friend:-

Ah, now I get it, I think ...

So for some, even the Easier questions are More Difficult - or was it Harder?

The Quizzmaster just needs to include the Obtuse category and all will be clear. :D

Of all of the numerous people getting 9 points today, was this the question you faulted on?

The phrase is liar liar pants on fire not liar liar underpants on fire. I got it right.

This lockdown lark is improving my braincells full marks 2 days in a row!

I have a feeling my intelligence is drained away possibly by osmosis when I'm at work.

Yep - I got that wrong.

On another note - casual players - there's a great quiz today! Try and get 10/10 in 32-34 seconds.

Underpants and pants are synonyms though in UK English. It's only Americans who would need to carefully define which of their garments would be aflame in a situation of deception.

Is there any way of going back to review the questions and answer options after the quiz is completed?

If you mean to study them, just open up another window to see how you did. Then you can study your answers at your leisure.

To change the answers, no. Which is a pity as I think I would do much better second time around.

Good grief - I didn’t think anyone took it that seriously.

Thanks Moose, I know I’m slow (judging by results!) but what exactly do you mean by ‘open up another window’?
It doesn’t allow the days quiz to be opened twice to check answers.

Twas tongue in cheek, though there has been skulduggery in the past.

Simply, that you have the answers when you finish - if you don't want to lose them go to the main page in another window. Alternatively c+p or, save each day as a pdf that will build into a collection you'll just love to keep and share with the family.

But once you have played, no you can't click back in.
