That doesn't seem particularly exceptional if the tail is weak to be fair.

Nice to see we have 3 spinners who can step up and produce their best .

Jennings has a real art of short leg fielding !

Tense finish ? Another 56 needed with one wicket standing. However this last pair have already put on 49 runs ........

Not a chance 3 will play, possibly only one. Tough decision on who that will be

We’ll take the 3 spinners & it will depend on the wickets how many play.

Odd for Jimmy & Broady not both to play. If they do, 2 spinners max.

YJB only came in because of Curran injury.

YJB & Buttler after one place?

A look at Roy before the Ashes?

    Extraordinary number of permutations.

    It’s like the Hornets midfield.

Windies wickets aren’t as fast as they used to be.

We probably won’t play three, but I can see us playing two especially if one is Moeen. Pretty sure three will be in the squad.

Presumably YJB will stay at 3 for the present but I’m not sure he is a permanent solution.

This. 2 spinners I would think as their wickets are more spin than pace. Leach or Rashid to drop out. I do think Bairstow may make #3 spot his own.

Leach rested for Zummerzet’s annual bid for second place?

    Generally a very successful bid.

Some “lads” (in their 50s, I would guess) in WFC shirts at the Test today, and a big flag - anyone recognise them?

Windies having a good day. Might be a decent series.

    I’ll look out for you!

Also, how forward thinking of you to choose a spouse who enjoys cricket. Regrettably Mrs Keighley has something less than zero interest.

My wife has zero interest in the cricket but has been on tours to South Africa and the Windies. She gets to sit in the sun and drink while I get to watch the cricket. Everybody's a winner

Top order doing their usual then.

    44-4

We might as well start with 2 down at least before we start batting.

I may cancel trip to St Lucia...

I did say we wouldn't want to bat 4th on that pitch and the team clearly agreed

    What on earth happened?
I only went on court at 2.30pm and they were 8 down.
I came off at 7.30pm and they were batting again.
I missed 12 wickets in five hours and that included lunch!

We actually got them 5 down for about 60 but their 6th wicket partnership has shown everyone how it can be done.

I don’t understand why Broad was omitted. Still, he wouldn’t have helped much with the batting.

Strange decision when West Indies pitches normally have a bit of pace and bounce. We should have plenty of batting without Curran although you wouldn't of thought so after today. This looks very much like an England team underestimating the opposition

Might have helped with the bowling.

Seems a notably inept reading of the pitch & selection.

'Notably inept' sums up Joe Root's captaincy perfectly.

TBF WI pitches have been very spin friendly over recent years but it seems this has recently changed, certainly here. Their 2 pacemen look unplayable on that pitch and with hindsight the selection was dreadful. Broad should have played in place of Rashid.
