Would make sense especially if he wants to play regularly for a championship move where he would be a good signing for most.
He's been great for us so if the move is best for him then good all round.

I've seen you play football Kieran. You were complete and utter toss.

    Just saying.

Watson could still do a job for us. Underrated player but if he wants regular football then good luck to him!

I agree, but I think he would still be a good squad player for us.

So despite me having said I'm not and never have been 'Kieran', your simple brain still can't seem to understand. If you need to play along with the other weirdos on here to feel accepted then go ahead sweetheart.

The sort of player who could go to a West Brom or Stoke, look like a world beater, and be prompting calls for an England call up before you know it.

Now I think about it, it wasn't Kieran, but a variation of that name. Very similar though.

Decent loyal squad player doesn't kick off abut not playing, when called upon comes on and does a job, and isn't going to be on big bucks. If he wants regular football good luck to him but given the choice I'd keep him.

Hasn't he just been made a vice captain? Good squad player and never let us down but needs regular game time at the stage in his career. Not bothered either way if he goes or stays.

Still a good option off the bench & in reserve. I'd be very happy if he stays unless we've got a better holding MF incoming. Depends if he's fine to stay as a bit-part player, if not he'll probably leave

He's still decent. However, looking back at last season, we had an injury crisis and yet he still barely got any game time.

We now have around 5 quality players competing for the midfield slots in the starting 11 (Doucoure, Hughes, Chalobah, Cleverley and Pereyra) and thats excluding Capoue and Watson. I honestly can't see him getting a single call-up with that depth of quality midfielders.

He is better off going into the Championship where he'll be played regularly whilst also doing a good job for them

In a squad of 25 you just can't keep 25 first teamers happy. Your need players who will rarely if ever play or even be in the match day squad; avoid becoming in any way disruptive as a result; and yet are ready and good enough to step in when needed to cover injury or loss of form. Ben Watson ticks all these boxes and a few more. Inevitably such players are at either end of their careers. When he arrived he helped knit a group of individuals into a team and I always felt his arrival was key to our promotion, exemplified by his debut where he came on at half time with us 2 goals down against Blackpool and kept things moving as we scored 7 in his first half in the team. I'd be really sorry to lose him this season.

Had the highest pass success rate and highest % of tackles won under QSF
Walter said that he picked Capoue over Watson because he covered more KMs in a game !

More than capable to come in to cover for Doucoure or Chalobha if either gets injured.

Been a great servent for WFC, and I think he could still do a job as a squad backup player, though not a regular starter.

For the last time, there is no "ginger quota". Its a max of 17 non gingers. We can have as many gingers as we want, whther thats 1 or 21.

Keep him. We'll be bare bones with injuries by mid-September.

In all seriousness, great back up, home grown, closes out games from the bench. If Behrami's off we should keep Watson - experienced and reliable.

Can play the Eustace role. Useful influence on the young midfielders in the squad and dependable enough if we're ever that short (either of DMs or HG players for the bench). He's no longer good enough to be a first team player at this level, and will ultimately move on but can do a job in the meantime.

Could be wrong but I think she only wore that shirt for the photo shoot & she's not actually a Watford fan. Hope so anyway.

My research indicates that she tweeted that picture with the text 'WatfordFC COME ON' and some enthusiastic emoji on the day of the FA Cup semi against Palace last year, so I suppose we have to conclude that she is in fact at least some kind of Watford fan.

From recollection of another article I think they would all have to form a queue behind Dominic himself who was very much his own biggest fan.

We can't keep every player, yes he might be an ideal player to have as back up to the backup as that's all he'd be, but he may want first team football anyway. Good servant but at the end of his career and we'd be better off having better quality competing to start and worrying about them getting pissed off about not playing it and when it happens.
