You are never getting the upper GT to sing, its God's waiting room and the flavescent faction already to their bit

You are most probably right, best to start with SEJ which covers the other side of the Rookery as well as the SEJ at the same time.

    I can see it working.

If I could hear what you are singing in the 1881 Id join in (a bit) from the middle of the SEJ put some singers near the away end in the SEJ in unallocated seats and give it a go.

But the Rookery doesn't make much noise. So I don't see how shuffling some of their few singers around would make any difference? If the Rookery was rocking you might have a point but the fact is the Rookery singing output is lame.

This used to work in the Vic Road End and for the first 2 or 3 years of the Rookery when it wasn't for away fans.

However, and someone like Stevo can confirm if I am right or not here, having unallocated seating reduces the capacity by something like 15%. Not sure if that is legal H&S or PL rules. Of course that would not be the right choice.

Exactly, that's the whole point of this exercise.

My view is it's most likely quiet because people in these areas fear looking like ***** because the majority don't do anything or join in. They just need jee'ing up & supported a little bit so they don't feel embarrassed.

The simplest solution is allowing people to drink alcohol at their seat. Pissed up people lose their inhibitions = more raucous atmosphere.

    Chances of this happening? Zero.

The only thing that gets the gt and ej stands going is a kick ass atmosphere from the rookery. Putting small groups in either will not work. Those groups would be better scattered across the rookery.

Got it. Replaced Z Cars with this and improve the ermmmm atmosphere at Vicarage Road. Two birds with one stone so to speak.

PS You dont actually have to watch the clip to get the joke and in truth it's probably best you dont.

    Hi Cassetti's Beard,

I have come to realise that anyone with the excess time on their hands (typically equating from 2,000 - 5,000 posts) with all that time investment required on an internet forum day & night cannot really be of complete sound mind or judgement. This is because they are clearly lacking other interests outside of their computer. They are harmless & take comfort from being anonymous, but they can recover. Remedies usually involve a little social interaction.

Between 5000 - 15,000 posts: Amber Alert. Interesting creatures. Generally harmless. Harder to reel back into normal society, but possible with time, effort & a bit of love. Remedies usually involve getting a girlfriend.

15,000- 25,000+ posts: Red Alert. These people have a propensity to post pictures, cartoons & Gifs (I think you call them) as a medium to reply instead of words, but have been known to post pictures of little girls without any thought or realisation of what they are doing. This red category tends to all group together in their forum anonymity making countless sarcastic comments at the boring one. I.e me.

I realise this is going to spark a reaction & make a few people angry but look forward to your comments so we can debate this further. All members welcome from both Amber & Red categories!

    Cheers,

    Boring4Ever

Hi, amber here.. or rather soon to be amber if "the double postings" tally is taken into account.
Here's a list of your red alerts... http://wfcforums.com/index.php?members/ Be afraid.. be very afraid!

Seriously though it's true to say some of us have too much time on our hands. But.. we all have our excuses. I live alone (no girlfriend.. check) Dont get out so much cause it's horrendously expensive here (and in winter its an expedition) Normally i dont work the winter.. and this time Ive been out of work for 9 months. Oh and the tv is crap here.. i mean really crap.
So yes hands up i spend too much time on here.. but.. i think i have logical reasons why that is so. I'm guessing there's plenty of others with similar stories to tell.

PS Think youve made a bit of a meal of this "little girl post" It was meant as a meme, i think.. and as such isnt meant to be taken literally. He was trying to express bewilderment in photo form.. but then you knew that didnt you?

Camel toes can brighten any situation in my experience. I accept that drinking from it in public may be frowned upon.

Fair play & respect. Honestly spoken when you didn't need to write that.

See this the problem about the internet, you don't know me or anyone on here, yet you've probably revealed more about your true thoughts & feelings to a complete bunch of strangers than your nearest & dearest know about you? And I don't mean any malice towards you, it's a sign of the times.

& yes of course I know that about Going Down, after he posted the little girl pic, he then accused me of being 12 (somewhat worrying) & also said "shut your Wh*re mouth" in another recent post earlier this week. I'm no Freud expert but that is unwitting sexual fantasy/frustration on display at it's finest. Dare I say this is the most worrying member on the forum.

    A few things:

    1. I thought we were fine on Saturday. Plenty of colour and noise. More than can be said for the Scousers who were pretty tame really. And it's no better at Anfield.

    2. What's wrong with Emma on the tannoy? She's lovely and with a good, clear voice.

    3. Where are these mythical stadia with singing all around the ground? I've yet to see one. Please don't say Selhurst Park. The much vaunted Holmesdale End and the rest of them are a bit rubbish imho.

    4. It's natural to sing the loudest when you're winning/playing well. You can try and encourage it more when you're losing/not playing well/need some encouragement but it will never be as loud and as persistent. It's just human nature.

    5. The best place for the 1881 would be in the middle of the Rookery. Shifting them there would put some noses out of joint but it would only need to be done once. And with good reason. All this stuff about having them dotted about the place is way too contrived and I doubt that they'd want to do it anyway.

    6. The only time the Holmesdales stole a march on us that I've seen was at Wembley for the Cup Semi-final. Their foil display with their flags as a nucleus was superb and really got things rolling for them. It's not really claret and blue though is it? More a sort of merlot and viagra.

Anyway, WFC got wind that the Palarse were 'going to do something' so we should too but decided against involving the 1881 although they would have been quite happy to have been involved. Wrong move. When a gang of 15 or so of us turned up to put out our 'flags' there was a wtf moment when we all realised that our 'flags' would have looked better sticking out of a pina colada with a cherry on than waved at a football match. And hardly anybody did wave them.

Moral of the story? There's no point in token gestures. If you're gonna do it then do it properly. And always involve the 1881. They're the guys who know all about that sort of stuff.

Incidentally, the Holmesdale movers and shakers are a sinister looking bunch. All dressed in black to a man. Looked a bit like the Hitler youth.

Sorry, looks like I've hit a raw nerve here, you always get overtly sarcastic & defensive after someone says something about you! You love dishing it out but find it hard to take a your own medicine. Red alert. What Gif/Cartoon/Meme can we expect to see next from the frustrated one?

Is the cheese Dairylea? Great for a picnic as they are individually wrapped, and shiny.

Oi come on, no need to copy me, at least get your own material!

Also, I should apologise to you. I've been saying 27,000 posts all along when I am reliably informed of the double post situation on the new forum. 13,500 posts is a lot better! However everything else must stand about your frustrations. I think from this experience of public outing you've learnt something & we are going to see a much more kind & likeable Going Down. My work here is almost done!

Ps - we might now find the other ringleaders coming to your cause, I should put on record I am prepared for all eventualities.

I've got a vuvuzela. Red and yellow one. I intend to stick a lump of stinking bishop in the end of it and blow it at the effing Seagulls.

Hornet4ever, you seem transfixed by the picture of the child. After telling you about the issue with the double post count do I now have to enlighten you as to why the picture of the child in question was an internet hit many years before goingdown posted it on here and why?

Or do you think anyone referring to it in any way is a pedo?

Respectfully, I don't need enlightening by an Amber & am not really interested in internet hits from many years ago, so it's ok, no need, but thanks for the offer!

However, lets be abundantly clear, you will never find I called Going Down a paedophile, but if that's your own internal cerebral interpretation, who am I to argue?

If posts have been 'doubled-up' how is it possible for me to have an odd number of posts? Maybe I once posted half a post. Maybe when I was 'half cut' ...
