think he is massively overrated myself and if we can get a good price sell him, the whole new contract i feel was just a mutual agreement to him going in the summer regardless, he has done his bit for us but is inconsistent and i feel there are better players to fit our squad
if he went i would be grateful for what he has done and wish him well but wouldn't be upset

Well I'm really sorry you feel that way. I'll pack my bags and be on the next train to reddit. Part exchange for the returning Reids. But don't come crying to me when you're drowning in analysis and insight and in desperate need of a cheese joke.

Blimey that's quite a long name. Do you have to wake it up first to allow for all the letters to fit?

Adelberto Penaranda was just a bit too long. Abdoulaye Doucouré fits nicely around it.

I notice Everton have been inserted into all the rumours about Doucoure again yesterday. The player himself literally went on tv, said he only wants to move to a Champions League club and liked PSG... so the lazy football hacks come up with some cobblers about Gueye to PSG so Doucs can go to Everton? Plus Silva himself said yesterday Everton aren't buying anyone this month because the board aren't giving him any money. Idiots.

As always, we were being portrayed as the bad guys because we are after too much money for Doucoure to Everton, which is holding up the transfer of Idrissa Gueye to PSG. It's just another excuse to have a pop at Watford, nothing more than that.

    Per the BBC gossip page;
"Everton manager Marco Silva says there will be more departures than arrivals this month at Goodison Park as he has been told by the club's board that finances are not available for new signings. (Mail)"

I think they're quite sensible not giving Silva any more funds.

Silva being told he's not allowed any more players? That, as we know, is the beginning of the end...

I wouldn't mind selling him for that price (assuming it was reinvested), but hopefully not to Everton.

He wants champions league football not championship football with Everton. He said earlier he wouldn't go sideways.

Lol at this. ‘How dare Watford have the audacity to not just give their player away. Somone richer, and therefore more important, wants him!’

Once again, Watford are standing in the way of progress. Don't we know our place? Watford are everything that's wrong with football.

Good job France Football is full poo then. If PSG want Gaye then they will get Gaye because their all about Gaye. They are a much bigger club than Everton, if they want him they will get him. Has nothing to do with Doucouré.

Adam Leventhal who is basically Watford’s spokesman, literally said it would take £70mil+ to get him this window. So if anyone thinks, especially a tinpot small insignificant club like Everton think they can get him, they are off their rocker.

Silva has thrown his rattle out of the pram by going public about wanting to keep Gaye. Which is his choice. While at it also stating that the board are not giving him any more funds to spend. Sounds very familiar.

Doucouré is only joining a CL club and that’s that. End of.

I'm not entirely convinced by that - Doucoure does love to pass sideways.

I know he switched from striker to centre back after signing for us, but as far as I'm aware he's never played centre mid?!

Could the lack of recent noise mean Abdoulaye was genuinely injured on Saturday and not packing his bags for a move to Paris/Everton?

Unless the club agrees to my perfectly reasonable request to release his private medical records for everyone to see, he's dead to me.

I suspect it's because no team has me his or our valuation.

That said, I've never seen him fail to put in a shift, so despite his being willing to take a better job (and which of us isn't?) I'm happy he's still here. I've never understood the "jilted 13 years old girl" mentality that some people get when a player thinks of taking a pay rise from a huge club.

I noticed him fail to put in a shift last weekend when he was ‘injured’...

That aside, I notice the PSG manager has said that they will buy this month and their midfield issues are ‘very, very serious’. Wouldn’t be surprised if they started playing dirty to try and get his price down. If they can’t get him, sounds like they will plug the gap with a cheaper option - I wonder how Doucoure might react knowing he was priced out of his dream move.

No mate. He's as good as gone. It's AD's dream to move somewhere a bit colder, where they talk funny and their team is lower in the league. More importantly, though, he's always dreamt of playing in front of supporters whose grandparents remember when they used to be successful.
