Sheff Utd are gone now surely. Losing against relegation rivals is going to hurt a lot. Luton getting spanked has also given Everton and Forest a chance of one bad day at the office too. Burnley have closed the gap on the safety line but their inconsistency might relegate them in the end.

    Deeply amusing!
I've just seen the goals,I didn't have time last night on returning from our match v Sodbury!

The defending for the second was tantamount to dereliction of duty. Lazy back heel type flick from some gormless goon in orange.

So, which one of the Premier League's naughty kids on the step do we want to win today? Edging towards Forest as I think Everton are more likely to claw their way out of it

I’d find Luton’s recent results quite amusing (yesterday’s following losing at Bournemouth after being 3-0 up) if they didn’t still have a chance of getting out of it.

Dyche seems to have lost the plot going by Everton fans and while Forest have a more than a capable manager, they’re still too close to the zone for comfort, while the two play each other today and the scum have got a big game against Everton in a couple of weeks’ time.

One unlikely silver lining is that Burnley somehow have a chance and could overtake not only Forest and Everton but also Luton to finish with the lowest points total for a team to survive in the Prem ever. But if the Scummers do survive it’ll be like Bradford in 2000 - the amount of praise from the media and other fans alike will be nauseating, masking the fact they’ve been terrible all season apart from a few surprise results and have had more than their fair share of luck.

I'm desperate for that lot to go down straight away so that we can then call them "the Chesney's"

Why are we celebrating Brentford's victory so much? After all, we can still catch them.

They do seem to blow it in winnable looking games at lot.

Forest got Burnley, Sheff U and Everton so in their own hands.

Everton got Luton to play too.

Nottingham Forest have been shafted at Goodison so far. They should have had three penalties and all three were against our old friend Ashley Young

    Stuart Atwell on VAR.

Forest say he is a Luton fan?

Surely he wouldn’t be allowed to do our games then ?

Have you seen their comments? Apparently they asked for a different official to be the VAR before the game and have now accused Attwell of bias due to being a Luton fan!

Genuinely amazed they had the balls to post that, but I agree with it nonetheless. If any of those penalty shouts were in the other box they would have been given. Forest have a right to be aggrieved. It’s about time someone called out the Premier League and its comical standard of officiating.

Trouble is now they’ve dug their own grave with that tweet. Essentially questioning a referee’s integrity by implying corruption is a dangerous game to play

Were they really outrageous decisions then or just ones that get given by one ref one week but not another the next?

VAR makes that worse of course because you could have 4 different points of views.

Should Chelsea start asking questions about yesterday.

Exactly. He’d do something ridiculous like give a goal when the ball has gone out for a goal kick. No way the football authorities would be stupid enough to allow that.

Imagine spending hundreds of millions - and more than allowed - to be about as good as Luton.

Also Clattenburg would know full well that Twatwell is a Sh*t Town fan. He'd have made this known to Forest when he found out he was on VAR.

As soon as my Son read the statement out to me earlier I knew full well it was Twatwell.

I think decisions 2 and 3 were pretty disgraceful and clear cut. First one maybe but weaker ones get given. I mean the guy has numerous replays ffs.

Regardless of who he may or not support, he’s just totally useless full stop.

It beggars belief how he gets employment within the game.

Whenever there’s any referring or VAR issues, it’s amazing how often he seems to be at the centre of it.

Forest’s Tweet was ill-judged but I have sympathy with them as they were badly let down by the VAR yesterday.

Sending him to the Euros is about the same as some of our Eurovision entries over the past few years. Designed to embarrass us in the eyes of our European friends and neighbours, and lower our country’s reputation even lower.

Can't blame Forest fans for feeling aggrieved about yesterday - all three penalty shouts are fair shouts. If the ref gives any of them then VAR doesn't intervene, which is the mental thing about VAR

The reaction afterwards is a bit OTT, but they do also have a point about Atwell, albeit one which should perhaps have been made privately

Anyway, Opta put Everton on a 1% chance of relegation now and those odds make me feel much better

I think the issue for them is they pointed this out because the game and were obviously ignored.

Should a ref be in charge of games involving rival clubs of the team they support as we have had those two a lot over the years ?

Yep, they have every reason to be unhappy, I'd just have wanted it to be handled slightly differently if it were my club on the wrong end of it like that. Can't blame them for being livid though and maybe that tweet is a symptom of it.

In the odd VAR system we have where "clear and obvious" is a stupidly high bar, it's probably not unusual for one of those sort of incidents to go against you in any given game. Three in one match would be difficult to take though. I'd be spitting feathers if I were in their shoes today.

I guess they had made the point privately and nothing had been done about it, hence the decision to go public given their frustration ?

For me the first one's more of dive by the Forest player and the second one is one of those handballs only an oddball or Forest supporter would argue should be a penalty. Third one's nailed on though and made worse given the ref said Young got the ball but the replay clearly shows he didn't. Though the missing link is we don't get to hear the conversation, so we don't know what the ref said he'd seen and/or what he wanted to know from VAR.
I don't think they should referee games involving the club they support. But beyond that it starts to get a little silly. Take yesterday for example and it's not immediately clear why Agent Atwell would have so desperately wanted Everton to win. Surely a draw would have been the perfect outcome for a Luton fan?

I think Forest's flounce on Twitter is quite humorous really. Embarrassing.

VAR is a farce in itself, but not a good look threatening to sue the league/PGMOL. Their owner is a bit of a nutter though and he allegedly was the one who requested it be posted.

Yes logic says that, but Forest seem to be in a bad place mentally and while Luton have a tougher run in on paper, I can see NF losing/dropping points in those easier looking games. Whereas I can see Luton fighting to the end and pulling off a surprise result or two.
