Exactly. I'd like to know how much we paid Bayat when we signed Livermore in the summer. I mean it was a signing wasn't it. Bayat is an agent after all and we know Gino is still close to him. Smoke, fire engines, flames etc.
I think Pozzo has done enough to earn our trust on this one. If he says there's no special relationship with Bayat and that he's just one of many agents we deal with, I, for one, believe him. There's literally no evidence to the contrary. None. Not a scrap.
No-one is doubting there is a special relationship - just that it's unlikely he would be paid on the loan of a reserve to Charleiwood or whatever they're called.
I believe it's actually "Tictac". He's mint and ready to breath fresh breath into our promotion charge.
As back ups they are perfectly fine. Not sure what you expect from a back up player at mid table Championship club
A player who can stay fit long enough to contribute when needed in Ngakia’s case. Morris is just hopeless. They are not “perfectly fine”. They don’t compete in any way with the current shirt incumbent in the way our wingers/strikers do. Sierralta and Porteous also keep each other on their toes.
To spear (mint) our promotion campaign, you might say! Glad you and I can now talk again, after Last Xmas is no longer Number One!
Ngakia's injury record I'll give you but Morris has been ok, he probably won't have a career at this level but he's ok. I think your expectations for back up full backs is too high and suspect if you look around the league, most clubs will have similar level back up players
If Sema was fit then he would probably be playing at LB instead of Morris anyway most games while Lewis is out.
You have treated my previous post with sarcasm - but if you don't believe Mogi Bayat would be somehow be paid (given our history) to help facilitate a transfer to a club his equally dodgy brother is President and Director of, then more fool you. I have long since said that he has his claws into the club (which I know for a fact) - but if you wish to keep your fingers in your ears and pick your nose to that info, you do you.
Chill Burnsy . Just thought to was unlikely they would pay him specifically for a loan out for one of our reserves. He may of course just be on our payroll anyway irresepective of this deal. Ps how can I pick my nose if my fingers are in my ears ?
Can't be on our payroll - Gino 'parlaci'd' and specifically denied the accusation. Just another agent who we choose if we work with or not - but we do worry he gets cold and lonely so give him a club jacket and almost exclusive access to Gino's exec box.
Might not be on the payroll but we could presumably still pay him "a retainer" as some sort as "a consultant". Depends what exact wording Gino used in his denial as he'd never lie of course......
Hopefully tic-tac-toe only makes 3 mistakes a game as opposed to the mandatory 5. If so we could have a player on our hands
If you're so inclined, here's a 26 minute video of all of his actions in the Coppa Italia game against Cagliari (he's #16) back in November, along with 2 friendlies for Bayern Munich against Monaco (#47) + Man City (#47) in the summer of 2023. (might not be available for a little bit if you're reading this not long after i've posted as needs to upload + optimise)
If he’s not available for a little bit as he needs to upload and optimise, when exactly would he be ready to play for us ?
Bayat is just a victim of his own success, he’s brought us that many great deals that he’s the only agent we recognise, but on any given home game there are normally about 78 other equally favoured agents sitting next to Gino in the directors box, we just don’t recognise them.
I believe we get an extra 1% off his standard rate by signing an exclusivity agreement. It makes perfect financial sense.
More good husbandry from the club, good to know that £12m we spent on agent fees in one season could’ve been as high as £12,120,00.
Nevermind Bayat for the moment - how big must your hands be if your able to put fingers in your ear and still pick your nose?
During his first spell with us Nani signed no fewer than 21 players from Udinese, so it’s not the biggest surprise in the world that now he’s back we are being linked with their players again.
Some very good ones mind you. Will be subject to Bayat's "facilitation with zero involvement" recruitment fees as well this time though.
Udinese were good then. They are dross now. And their first team is half filled with players we have palmed off on them as they are crap - so I dare not wonder the level of the players below them.
I’m not saying we’d be right to raid Udinese, merely that you’d understand if it were Nani’s default setting as a first port of call! You could also argue that we were probably better back then too btw. A top half finish just before Nani and co arrived and a 3rd placed finish in his first season.
He seems decent and a good prospect. Good pace and agility for his size. There shouldn't be many issues with him taking the limited minutes Pollock has had for us.
