Majestic goal by Kayembe today. Well done to Mogi Bayat for this signing and an absolute steal at £3.5 million
This is something that requires serious consideration, and I'm sure will receive very little. We already needed a Livermore competitor/understudy; with another midfield position to fill for a potentially not-insignificant proportion of the rest of the season, we can all look forward to being treated to far more of the sight of TDB ambling around the pitch aimlessly.
Been excellent recently, Bristol City aside, so this is not great news for us but good for him obviously. Is Louza going to this?
No, he's been left out of the Morocco team shockingly, whether he'll even be our problem very soon is another issue
If he'd even consider coming to us rather than continuing to play 70% of all minutes for a team doing better than us and either potentially win promotion, or sign with another club as a free agent in the summer. He's also about to turn 29, so spending money on that when he might be available for free in a few months' time really doesn't seem like something that adds up for us.
https://twitter.com/VoicesOfTheVic/status/1744994153631539538 Shame for him. Hopefully not a long term issue. (Or we have done a Dennis on them ?)
Hopefully not long term like you say Hopefully not like Dennis because we're still recovering from whatever curse was put on us then!
Could be a career-ender, remember last season when he seemingly picked up a knock in December and then was never seen again?
Great work by Gino offering the Congo medical team a weekend at London Colney with a trip to Harry Potter World in exchange for finding that Edo has an injury. Back in the first team on Sunday.
That would be a classic Mourinho at Chelsea move. Only time Lampard was injured was during the international break.
Confirmed out of AFCON by Val. Calf injury picked up in the Plymouth game. Reported back to London Colney today for assessment. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/preview-ismael-speaks-ahead-of-qpr-clash#play
Is Kayembe's injury serious? I am sure he would be one of the first names on the teamsheet if/when fit.
VI on the official site earlier today; We are still waiting for [Edo] Kayembe and [Jeremy] Ngakia, hopefully they can be back in the next two weeks with us.
Given DR Congo are still in the AFCON I guess either way we would have been missing him up till now..
DR Congo off to the semifinals. He must be gutted. Not gutted for his country, but gutted he isn’t there with them.
Of course both their absences may be a significant factor? Anyway glad the Watford Vet Team gave sorted out Edo’s Calf, and he will feel able to rejoin the squad next week.
Back tomorrow.. Well in the squad . https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/24114336.watford-midfielder-kayembe-available-norwich-trip/
