Hopefully we can sell Imran to Udinese at a price reflecting his obvious talents, and we can reinvest. To be fair a good player just not suited to the championship

 

Anything less than 20m and we have been robbed.

 

Not sure he isn't 'suited to the Championship' as he showed last season what he can do, think it's just a lack of application

I'm sure there's the financial aspect too, we owe Nantes for certain appearance landmarks. If he's not going to play the 90, then there's no point playing 20 or it costs us £200k.

Unfortunately he isn't showing he's worth paying it, fair play to the current midfield trio.

 

Hope he massively impressed him on the training field, he didn't even get to play under him!

Just saw that his first game for Lorient he got an assist and a goal. Hopefully he keeps performing so we get good money for him.

 

Lorient's form has done a 180 since Louza joined. 5 defeats in a row, then Imran plays and they've picked up 7 points from 9.

I have no problem with him leaving despite being a good player, he clearly didn't want to put the work in. However, not replacing him with another midfield body was criminal.

 

Hopefully their uptick in form means they can pay a fee for him and we can use some of that cash to buy some sort of replacement that isn't already in situ

 

The problem with IL is that occasionally he would give us a 9/10 performance but then follow up with a
dozen 5\10s .

 

5/10s is generous this season! Apart from the opening day when he and many others shone against a League 1 level team under a League 1 manager, and Millwall where he came off the bench to come up with a telling cross, I can't think of much he's done this season at all

 

Came on as a 57th minute sub for Lorient on the final day, they started the day 3 points and a goal difference of 7 worse off and almost stayed up, they beat bottom placed Clermont 5-0 but Metz, who conceded twice against PSG in the opening 12 minutes, managed to hold out for the rest of the game to secure survival on head-to-head record

 

The bitter irony for Lorient is that they scored more goals than Metz, in England (and most countries where goal difference is the first time-breaker I would imagine), they'd have stayed up

 

I'm guessing whatever potential option to buy they may have had has gone up in smoke now

 

Spain's first tie-breaker is head to head record, agonisingly for Lorient, they miss out on away goals to Metz...

 

If I were Lorient I’d have just got 1 more point over the whole season.
