Following this, please see below from our fellow long standing member: Robs family have spoken to the club and there will be a tribute in the programme as well as his picture on the screens at 60 minutes with-hopefully-a minutes applause to remember a long standing fan. His family are aware of other long standing fans who have also passed of late so as much as this is for Rob Jenner all those who will be missing a loved one today are also asked to remember their friend/family member-.
I hope the club are able to respect his life in the way he lived it - a friend to all he knew and all who loved him. I never met him personally but I did hear his name mentioned a few times in the games I attended by other fans'. Obviously a well liked hornet and I would hope the applause is carried out without any booing from the away fans. Wish I could go to partake, but the family have done a good thing in continuing his memories for anyone connected to Watford FC or the town in general.
A lovely thing to do and was happy a forum member contacted me about this after I lost a close friend and fellow WFC fan earlier this year.

For those attending the Boro match on Saturday, there will be a tribute to Peter in the matchday programme. Also a nudge to those who habitually buy the programme but skim through the 'boring bits' with scant attention paid!
We are running a charity race night in memory of my friend. Does anybody know who to contact at the club to see if they will donate a signed shirt for auction?
Best advice I can give is send them a general email to the media department and ask them to forward it on to whichever sub department handles that side of things. Personally I think that's a great idea Knight, and I do hope you can push this through late on. Good Luck.
Just received the news this morning that Graham Taylor's Secretary, Shirley Evans, passed away on Friday night. Maybe not a pivotal figure from a fan perspective, but certainly a big part of the Watford FC family in those glory days. She was never shy of saying what she thought, and the boss valued her input, even when he disagreed with it. My favourite memories of her were following the Portsmouth semi, where she was among the most rowdy on the staff bus, and, when we got back to the club, was first onto the pitch for a celebratory kick about, very much against her usually very proper character. Not someone that a lot of people were aware of, but a huge part of what went on in the eighties.
I didn’t know her that well, but was sad to hear of Jenny’s passing a few months ago. At every home and away match for decades, she was truly Watford through and through.
