VI publicly has stated Baah and Kalu are not in his plans and it’s up to them to find new clubs. So 2 more departures from the squad expected. He went on to say that as well as a striker, they are looking at another 2/3 positions to strengthen. Got 2 weeks to bring in 3-4 players. Let’s hope they get moving soon.
Okoye, l said that he would never play for Watford and l was slagged off for it. Thank you, thank you. I am here all week
You also said Bachmann, Kayembe and Bayo wouldn't be here this season. One out of four isn't bad I guess! Although not sure club captaincy and new contract for Bachmann outweighs that one correct guess.
‘They should be released!!! We are in £500m of debt! Open secret Gino wants out! League 2 here we come!’
And to quote the great Mr Standen: "And I'd suggest that anyone picking up other people for mixing up "fewer" and "less" in conversation probably needs a more fulfilling hobby." However I still enjoy your efforts @Keighley.
That's OK then, just one of several hobbies. Have you thought of football? Squad's not full yet and we are lacking an eye for detail.
No, l think l said £182m to £234m in debt. Which ended up being very close depending on if you include the transfer money caveat. Just like any journalist or fan, if you throw enough crap, some of it will stick. Bachmann is not up to being a sweeper/keeper. Major error coming along real soon. He has got away with it so far. Bayo, boy does he try hard, but we all know that he is not a goalscorer. Kayembe, slows e v e r y t h i n g down, no flow in his game. The summer transfer budget was just a maximum of £2m, so the chance of signing someone decent was limited. I hope the new guy turns out to be ok, £1m? is not much, but to Watford it's a fortune. Good luck to him
He most certainly did. I was there. He let a harmless cross in over his head right in half time and generally looked atrocious during the entire match.
None of that is wrong and nobody is claiming otherwise. However you were still very wrong when you claimed none would be here this season.
I’m not surprised that you can’t detect sarcasm. Mind you, how are those 5-6 quality additions going that you assured everyone were going to happen just because Giaretta have you 5 mins of his time? We are all dying to hear the progress…unless, of course, like the whole ‘Duxbury told me we are signing a RWB’ thing, you were actually telling a bare faced lie?
Never assured anybody of anything. Friend I was with actually announced a name. I’ve always said sensible clever and smart signings of which we have already made a few. Still hope and will be very disappointed if we don’t do any further business within the next 48 hrs. I think some incomings from Udinese are a strong possibility plus maybe a premier league loan.
You literally assured people all summer long on Twitter that we would sign a number of quality players. And you made the comments about signing 5-6 more AFTER we had already signed most of the players we have got in the door. I’m not the only person on this forum who saw the comments so I’m not sure revisionism on your comments is going to pay off for you. (For the record, players like Abankwah and Semedo do not class as ‘clever’ or ‘smart’ given they would be coming from Udinese and have played about 10 games of senior football between them, at a much lower level than Championship - they would be utter punts who would be in no state to be first team regulars)
I guess anyone who comes in won’t be match fit so will need weeks to get ready ? By which time we might have a new manager .
