Ismael literally said they are being careful with Healey because of his fitness/injury didn’t he? I’d say we can give him a fair while before look at him as another Ashley Fletcher.
Well he’s fit enough to have been on the bench. He’s certainly fit enough for a few minutes at the end of the match. Nothing from his CV tells me he’s nothing more than a League One player and his performance against Stevenage was very underwhelming. I see nothing about him to make me think he’s going to be anything more than a bit part player. I think that’s a fair comment at this stage. But apparently you can’t have an opinion about a player until he’s played 43 games for the club.
I'll let you crack on with your latest 'episode' then. I preferred the unhinged stuff about refereeing conspiracies, but this is pretty funny too.
Adversely I honestly can’t remember a single thing you post, so I’m pleased you follow my posts so intently. I thought you were a new poster, but it appears not. Maybe a silent lurker?
I do like the fact that you have taken up my mantle of being the supposed common denominator in forum arguments since I started posting less! (This didn’t a dig by the way - I think it’s great work!)
Once upon a Training session dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of remembering how to score --- While I pondered why I signed, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping by VI, Gently rapping, rapping on my shoulder core. “’To the game,” he muttered, tapping at my shoulder core— ”I was I free transfer, I concluded, a transfer who people will adore." Quaf the Raven.
Livermore is rubbish. Just look at his record last season for West Brom. He made 21 appearances and at first glance you'd think: "Ah, that's not bad for a 32/33 year-old over the course of a season." But from October 29, he made 5 appearances – 3 of them in the FA Cup. His last two league appearances for West Brom were on Bonfire night and April 29th. All the hallmarks of a player who is more done than a really done thing. I look forward to being proved completely wrong by his performances and contributions over the coming months.
I very much doubt there is much risk in that. He's unlikely to turn into prime Ronaldo over the course of the season.
I thought it when he signed, and seeing him lumbering around the 365 with all the grace of a wardrobe being shifted has just confirmed that he is absolutely crap. Dud.
He lumbered around the pitch 10 years ago at his peak. What's the verb for lumbering really really slowly ?
Ah, but apparently he's brilliant in the dressing-room. Maybe he could use his talents there from 3pm on Saturdays.
Great signing. Have I missed that he's injured or is he just so finished that we won't even put him on the bench when he's the only specialist defensive midfielder in the whole squad?
If you want to talk to him here's the address. To Mr.J.Livermore c/o The Old Knackers Yard Pozzoville CR0 AP1
Rolled back the years tonight and showed why he's had the career he's had. Still looks immobile but his positioning and ball winning through tackles and interceptions was vital. Perfect example was the lead up to the goal(https://streamin.me/v/351b1be2/o), was nice to see a Watford midfielder go through the ball and the man to win it, rather than dangle a leg and hope it turns out okay. So far a very calming presence on what can very often be an erratic and panicked set of young players. More of the same please, Jake.
Will be interesting to see if the old fella, whose legs had apparently gone and has barely played this season , can manage a 3rd game in 8 days.
3 solid games on the bounce from Livermore, and in those three games we haven't been beaten, picked up two clean sheets and added 7 points to the pot.
I like our shape better when Sierralta drops in as CB and Livermore plays the DMF role. Livermore is not the answer long term obviously, but he's showing his value right now with his leadership, which the team desperately needs. For me, this would be a must in the January window, to find a younger Livermore type player which will allow Sierralta to play as a CB.
Yes, the contrast to Mboro at home where the opposition could just run through our midfield to our back line, before having the time to slip someone in on goal, is huge. Can the old duffer manage 3 games in 8 days though ? I hope so.
Yes but do you think over a period of 8 days, he can manage to play 3 games ? Yeah OK, I thought my first post had been on another thread. I am NOT going senile ! I'm 60 and a half you know ? Lovely bit of fish.
