I see someone has said Styles is in Dubai, so doubt that will be getting announced anytime soon. They will want a picture of him in that fantastic new kit.
Im sure he could, but the club won’t announce him until he’s off his holiday and posing with the Watford shirt.
What’s the indication he’s in Dubai? I saw someone say it on Twitter too but don’t know what based on.
He's currently training out in Dubai for whatever reason. Supposedly deal with us is lined up though and medical this week.
Should add I doubt the fee is agreed if he's still out there so assume work still to do? Millwall moved for Joe Bryan over weekend which suggests they realise they've missed out.
This is looking more promising at least. If we can get this one over the line then that's another solid signing. Still unconvinced of our GK situation personally, but it does seem the club are happy with Bachmann for next season and Hamer as backup (not terrible choices and far from it, but we do need to refresh this next season whatever division we end up in).
Hamer seemed more suited to a sweeping role and proactive role in goal. Unfortunately, he's less capable of shot stopping than even David Button was for WBA. Regarding Styles, would be nice to have this confirmed but at least we've addressed our midfield with this and provides Depth at LWB with Sema there. Ince will provide some edge to our game we've lacked since Capoue left (May even say as far back as Behrami for a proper ******* midfielder) even if he's a knub. In fact, probably because he's a knub.
Not according to Giaretta at the fan forum. Supposedly stated that they want rid of him but no-one will buy him.
That's interesting. Not doubting you, but I heard quotes from the forum saying the exact opposite from Giaretta. Apparently he said he's one of the best shot-stoppers in the league and they would like to work on other areas of his game such a coming for crosses and footwork.
Porteous chose not to have a break. Most other teams only came back today. Suspect styles may have another week off.
Where might Martins (and Ince) fit into VI's preferred formation? I appreciate formations aren't rigid and might change depending on the state of the game. Edit: Posted in wrong thread obvs.
If we play with Wingbacks, then Martins would likely be fighting for a striker spot. If we play with wingers, probably with Sema for LW
Ismael played 3421/343 at Barnsley, didn’t he? Martins would be a #10/winger. Ince would be #10 or one of the deeper CMs.
A lot to like about this signing, assumed it’s soon confirmed. A good player who knows both the league and the new manager. Coming back off a nasty injury, as with Healy, but a good age and lots of stamina. It’s almost as if logic and seeming normality is starting to return to what we do.
