What is he worth after 2 hamstring tears in one season, one of which he won’t recover from before the summer? Coupled with his limited ability and lack of goals to date in his career? In reality - very little. But if we’d loaned him, Gino would’ve agreed to a £20m option, I’m sure of it.
Rey was an ok player for Albania. The reason he got so many caps was due mainly to the lack of competition, but, this is club football. The 'played for Barcelona' thing, although true was bigging him up as a star. It was a shame he didn't perform for us, indeed, our lemon Hornets even wrote a song about it...

It's not unusual for out of contract players to train with clubs for a while is it? I mean we've got Healey and Bayo who are for all their undoubted faults far better than Manaj, and Fletcher and Adeyemo are on the books still, I really don't see the need for Manaj to come back
Based on last night, if Manaj does come back then Ismael has about a month to get him playing like Haaland or he gets the boot.
So what is the truth? 1. Manaj agreed to suspend his contract without pay, but can rejoin the club in the summer? 2. Manaj is no longer a registered Watford Player? 3. Manaj has his contract suspended with full pay and can 'resign' in the summer? 4. A Duxbury/Pozzo/Bayat under the table deal?

There was a post from earlier in the year saying he had been let go but potentially still comeback in the summer I think . But Adam Leventhal seemed to suggest he is just here to build up fitness .
