Serious point. At 0-2 and by the time I had logged in to Paddy Power to place a bet at 2-2 at eleventy to 1...... we conceded.
Never really liked the mint ones. Orange flavour though.... oh baby! Could eat them for days. They remind me a bit of "Nerds" (not sure they are still around), very nice as a refresher.
Reality is their fans were quiet for large spells and their team shat the bed on their big capacity crowd occasion. They’re right to be frustrated, but it’s misdirection to aim it at us. We were there for the taking on recent form but somehow our non-team of losers easily got under their skin. It really surprised me. Plus if you believe them they’d have had about 27 penalties. Desperation was dripping from the place, bless ‘em. Everything was frantic and everything that went against them was a drama. Plus our amateur time wasting wasn’t even that bad compared to a lot of the games I’ve seen at the Vic this season, where it feels like we’ve been dark-arted to death time and time again by opponents with very little intent to engage in an actual football match.
Well we always seemed to be accused of being strong and physical- maybe too much ! Shame we don’t see it a lot being used.
Just seen the Sunderland equaliser and it sums up the mentality of our players. As soon as it goes in, Kamara actually claps as if he really appreciated it. Can’t stand these players we have.
Probably more a clap of frustration I suspect or some sort of encouragement to others? But guess he only knows .
It seemed to me as a clap of appreciation, acknowledging the special shot of an opponent. But in the final minute which costs you a win, that type of ‘sporting’ gesture shouldn’t cross your mind. It’s a loser mentality.
Anyone there sum up the fans reactions? Much Pozzo Out? Away fans are so far away at Sunderland I doubt the players would hear much.
It was all Ryan Porteous songs yesterday. Big contingent down from Edinburgh to support him in the away end, smoke bombs and all. I didn't hear any Pozzo Out stuff. Torrents of abuse for our useless players from the old folk in front of us throughout the match though. A good education for my girls all in all.
I went yesterday. Been to Roker Park before, this was the first time at The Stadium of Light. Their fans were very loud at times, particularly when they scored. I thought our fans were loud too and gave a good account of themselves. Apart from 2 good goals from the centre backs, another good performance from Andrews and Porteus' get stuck in attitude, I didn't think we were very good. It was inevitable Sunderland were going to score (and then equalize). We constantly stood off them when they had the ball which allowed them back in the game. Generally, I think we looked very unfit, which I think has already been said before. At least we didn't loose. Bachmann looked.......... well, like Bachmann. Roll on next season.
Wllder commented about the lack of fitness . Been the same for years - not good enough. Even in the PL seasons .
We are ****... fluke a 2-0 lead and inevitably **** it up. Won 3 in 17? **** me. All we needed to do for the playoffs was not be completely incompetent. We are completely incompetent and hateful.
3 in 17 is absolutely hilarious, isn't it. Really spectacularly shyte. Also, it's actually 3 in 18, after yesterday.
I'm sorry but I just watched back the equalising goal and I actually laughed. It was comedy gold. Players' getting in each others way, bumping into each other and totally missing the ball. Just a complete circus at the back.
Has there ever been a more spineless set of players than this one? I wonder what atmosphere is like in the dressing room. Do any of the players actually like each other?
Probably the last time we had a poor under performing season... I suspect some do get on but no doubt there will be certain groups in the dressing room as there probably are in so many these days due to the cosmopolitan nature of our squad. And in our case the fact many players come and go just like that so there is no time to build relationships.
None of them want to be here. We don’t want them to be here. Managed by a manager who doesn’t want to be here…..and we don’t want him to be here.
Few cliques. Domestic British lads, French speakers and Africans. Spanish speakers and then the odd Billy no mates like Kalu. Desperately missing a leader to unite the dressing room despite differences. A result of Pozzo recruitment though, no thought goes into dressing room make up at all.
Our friendly Porteous fan club members have been up before the South Tyneside beak for their no pyro, no party fun at Sunderland: https://www.sunderlandecho.com/news...-vs-watford-match-at-stadium-of-light-4145003
