Vicarage Road - the envy of fans up and down the country. All that money they wasted on the new Wembley when they could have just made the Vic the national stadium.
You can patronise all you like, the words are there. You’d prefer to build a squad around a guy who’s hardly ever available to kick a ball. That’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion but you don’t have to make out I’m crazy for disagreeing. I think Bacuna is 100x more useful than TDB on the basis he is actually fit to play occasionally.
They didn’t pay for it out of their own pocket. They paid for it with PL TV money. And frankly, any extra money he has spent from his own fortune to leave us where we are now…well that just tells me he is a sh1te businessman. I’m not going to go into a debate on the rest because our opinions are clearly at polar ends or the scale.
Large crowds in a stadium inherently makes it difficult to get an internet signal - maybe someone can point out if other venues have found workarounds, but I don't know how you can really blame the Pozzos for what is likely due to an inherent weakness in the technology.
If you often find you're being patronised that should maybe tell you something. It's especially humorous when your original reply was this: Compare that to SLB's reply. A difference of opinion, discussed reasonably. It's not hard.
It was interesting at the end of the game, Huddersfield as expected went mad at having secured another three points, Pedro went straight down the tunnel, the other 9 shook hands with the opposition and ref etc and then stood around in the Vicarage Road half of the pitch except Hoedt, the only player to move towards the rookery and applaud the fans seemingly apologising for the result, this led to fans clapping him, then some of the other players started moving towards the rookery clapping the fans, however this seemed quite short lived and they went towards the tunnel with their tails between their legs. We stood in the rookery trying to take in the shook of a awful result , Bachman going into overdrive and Britt scoring a goal!
Everyone was saying how marvellous he was when he was injured. As I said at the time, he got better and better the longer he was out. He's OK, nothing more - although that puts him ahead of our other midfielders, Asprilla excepted.
Who said I often find myself patronised? You’ve just completely made that up, as you often seem to do. I think it’s delusional to have any plans to rely on Dele-Bashiru when it comes to squad building yes.
Pedro really has checked out hasn't he. I wonder how much this end of season clusterboink is costing his value and when it's time to drop him.
Anyway, TDB aside. I would like to add and I may be alone in this. I didn’t see a lack of effort today, I didn’t see anything to particularly say the players didn’t care. It’s simply just a dysfunctional squad, no striker, missing a midfield general. Good individuals but for different purposes, when they come together they don’t fit. For example, Choudhury definitely tried but he doesn’t fit this midfield and isn’t what this team needs. We all know how talented Pedro is but again he’s failing to have an impact whilst a big bruiser like Carlton Morris with half the talent is scoring 15 goals.
Sorry, just a reasonable assumption on my part, as you're often confused. I won't waste anymore time on this, so I'll leave you to theorising how Daniel Bachmann is autistic because of a red card, and how Craig Cathcart is going to hell for wearing rainbow laces, or something.
I thought starting him as a loan striker today was idiotic. Went out to the channels and dropped deep far too often which left us with no presence at all in/around their area.
Seemed to be a mix of booing and clapping for certain players like Britt probably because he managed to score. But mainly as you say seemed to be a lot of standing around.
Lol, pathetic distortion of comment to try make a dramatic exit and goad me into a reply after pretending you’re parking the debate. You really are a sad little ****. I think Bachmann has autistic tendencies via communication and body language from interviews etc. I don’t even recall what I said about Cathcart but I know it wouldn’t have been those words, it would’ve been in defence of Sarr’s defence of his teammate at the time. Just a low blow done in the most cowardly form.
Everybody calm down, if you can't have a disagreement without resulting to insults you will face repressions.
They were all **** but particular mentions for Pedro, Louza and Kone who were all exceptionally crap. Sarr being booed as he came on the pitch was quite a sight but, and I know this might surprises some people, he looked like he really didn't give a toss. Bachmann has always been a calamity and partial to a regular toddler tantrum. It is no wonder the defence has no confidence in him. Though he did catch a cross today which truly meant it felt like a weird end of season game. So many times Cathcart was on the ball and not one of the forward players gave him anything to work with. The best that anyone managed was Louza dropping to receive the ball, play it straight back to Cathcart and then run off and hide behind his man again. Our midfield and forwards are woeful. For anyone who fell into the trap at the start of the season of thinking this is a great squad, you have my sympathy. I expected to finish around 9th or 10th but it looks like these cowards won't even manage that. The two positives of today are Asprilla getting a long overdue goal, and this being so predictable that I had a few quid on an away win.
Large crowds aren't going to be a problem at the Vic for a while I would think WiFi should be fine after today
You're a lot older than me, so you'd be in a better place to judge, but how many times have we put in a more gutless display than last week (or the two Millwall games, or various others just from this season)? Besides, how many other owners have left us in hundreds of millions of debt? So what if we're not at the bottom of Division 4 (yet!), we're on a clear decline, and saving us from Baz ten years ago isn't a good enough reason to carry on as things are
Same for my sister and me. I’m on Vodafone and can get a signal. My sister isn’t and can’t (not 100% sure what network she’s on though - EE maybe?).
I switched from EE to Vodafone because I had such problems getting a signal where we live with the former.
