Yep, 85mins gone and the intensity of both teams even at this stage we barely see from our lot after 15mins. Great game.
Agreed. The sort of desire from both teams we can only dream of seeing from our players. Hope they both get promoted now.
Sheff U bounced back well from their defeat v Luton last week. Think some of their fans have been getting a bit twitchy in recent weeks though .
BBC commentator just talked about Estupiñán not getting a chance with us . Don’t think he was allowed to unfortunately.
Hope he asked for a cut of the proceeds of an all-Manc final they desperately want. #conspiracy #no6nilthistime #viewingfigures
Not watched a minute of any game but for a fleeting moment the Fa cup actually held a tiny weeny bit of interest. Normal service resumed.
I've never understood our obsession with not bothering in the cups. The sides we put out are 4th string. Remember the one Pearson put out at Tranmere!? It's just another way we pamper our average players. They can't be expected to bother with a cup run.
Utd v Brighton and City v Sheff Utd. What a shock the two Manchester clubs were kept apart. The game is so bent. It’s just a joke.
For the League Cup, sure. But I’d argue we’ve done pretty well out of the FA Cup in Pozzo’s time, haven’t we? 1 final and 1 SF exit in a decade is probably above par for a club of our size. And another 3 times were bum draws wiping us out before we got going - City away twice and Chelsea away once. Admittedly it’s been dire since the final, like so many things Gino’s turned his hand to.
Probably the draw was made in pre-season. Next year’s semi-final will be between Arsenal and Chelsea.
Fair play to the Sheffield fans who didn’t bother to travel down for this pointless game at the stadium of soullessness.
