No mate, definitely Bolton - I remember missing his goal, just like I missed his first goal for he club against QPR…
Ferreira was right in front of us, and he fully ducked out of at least 3 headers. First game in England, so not writing him off, but he moved out the way of the ball.
The litter picking I get but what did Bill the caretaker get out of you smoking behind the sports hall?
Then stop moaning about the transfer dealings. A win today against a team without a win in 7 league games and you're clapping like a demented seal. The next defeat and you'll be bitching like crazy. If you are happy about the club spending £15m on 4 players, two were possibly available on a free and the other two for £1.7m combined then fine. I haven't added Ferreira into the mix. 'Costa' a lot more than his transfer value. Your criticism of any post l put up is fine with me. It is what this site is for.
There were five penalties in that seven though and not sure he'll be on them again after his effort earlier this season!
I guess Asprilla's stunning slide rule pass has had a bit less attention than it deserves given the amazing goalscoring league debut of an academy player and the contribution of our latest steal from Fluminense but what a pass. Counter attacking with a couple of runners and Asprilla passing long from deep should serve us really well this season, especially if he's coming off the bench when the game is getting stretched. Break down an attack, get the ball to Asprilla asap, he finds one of the runners and BINGO! We can hurt a lot of champo teams that way. Wembley in May??? Don't mind if I do!!
That was no tap in as he had to retrieve the ball from behind him, it was a very good finish that many would not have made IMO.
That’s quite a stat. Our last Saturday 3pm home win before yesterday was when we beat United 4-1 and OGS got the bullet. 20/11/21.
Great subs. Slav clearly in the 'not fecking around' management time of life which is excellent. Morris getting better each game. Quite, simple footballer. Just what we need ahead of Kalamity Kamara now IMHO. Kone, Martins look set to be integral to the run in. Young and very willing. Bachmann also increasingly more confident off his line as the season has gone on. Youth getting a chance we've cried out for and now we have it by accident. I just hope Pozzo doesn't pull the plug on any impending deals now! Negatives: Bayo. Hopeless and childish. Another Mogi signing that sulks.......
Because at least they’re optimistic, if equally wrong to reach a conclusion that early (assuming they didn’t say he “looks good”, which is tentative, not absolute). The team that holds the registration, and the team that a player turns out for, do not affect their innate ability. But fair play to you for sticking to your guns in declaring, after 45 minutes and two goal involvements, that a Brazilian junior international is definitively “crap”.
1) People were discussing the match, in the match thread, and criticising Bayo's performance. You've made your (incorrect) point that you're so proud of about Bayo's fee 1000 times. 2) Blackpool were 9 games without a win, not 7. Are you ever right about anything?? And funnily enough normal football fans will be happy when their team wins, and unhappy when they lose. 3) Literally no one has said they are happy about the transfer fees for Okoye and Bayo, let alone in this thread, so what are you on about! I look forward to you researching Ferreira's transfermarkt value and bitching about it. Should give everyone a good laugh again. By the way, Ben Hamer, Manaj and Bacuna are worth €3m combined and we somehow managed to get them for free! Pozzo does it again!!
How refreshing was it to see youngsters make the team? I know it was a needs must situation but it still feels like it has restored a connection with the team that hasn't been felt by myself for a while. Obviously Adeyamo scoring has helped . Hopefully we keep this up when other players are back.
Have to say, when I was in the Lower 6th, none of us had beards like Adeyamo. So optimism is innately superior? OK. That's your opinion and its fine. I choose to completely disregard it and use years of experience of seeing how these things play out and being pessimistic/realistic. You can keep your 'two goal involvements.' I'm not even gonna bother breaking down his actual role in those goals. He's crap. You can call me on that in 6 months/a year if you have evidence that I'm wrong.
As you say needs must but a great time to introduce 'Tony' as another dozy bint on SSN just called him*. Coming after their cup win the youngsters would be high on confidence and the young have no fear. * I've spent a working life demanding equality in my workplace or 'work court' perhaps? However the proliferation of female talking heads, analysts and ex players who are as bad if not worse than half wits such as Jamie O'Hara does not enhance the female cause.
There was a moment when our two furthest forward players on the pitch were numbers 53 and 54. Which was nice.
Liked Martins a lot. Seemed full of confidence and a desire to make things happen. His movement in the build up to the penalty was excellent and put Blackpool into a panic.
I thought our match day squad looked very thin in quality, with the hope for the season now to hang on in the play off places by the end of the season. So despite the poor opposition it was a relief to get the three points. Compared to the previous Championship season in 20/21 maybe that was harsh. Match 27 back then was a home defeat to a 19th placed QPR. With Ngakia and Navarro, as first 11 choices, etc We had four more points back then, and the top two were still in touching distance. But still, maybe a focus on getting more choices available for Bilic and the season may end successfully.
Louza back end of March. Cleverely unlikely to be back due to being past it and out of contract. Kayembe a back up now Kone is in there. JP slots straight and Davis should benefit from a rest. Still need that CM baller as we can't pin our hopes on Kone to be that week in week at his age.
