I said all and more upon us signing Okoye.
He is a good shotstopper, but you need more than this to play in goal these days. Okoye, doesn't have those skills in his locker.

Morris was much better against Norwich, maybe because he had an experienced player in front of him.

I liked Hungbo before he went out on loan and he seems to have done well at Ross County, but he's been very disappointing since he came back.

Sure we probably overpaid, but he was worth more than 1m.

I don’t think he is a good shot stopper. His reactions seem to be very slow. Maybe because he’s so tall it takes a bit longer for his neurons to travel from his brain to his legs and arms.

I don’t think I’ve yet seen him make a save for Watford.

    Was Morris much better?

I’d love nothing more than a HG youngster to come to the fore and break through - but he dreadful in the first half against Norwich. He was much improved in the second half on the basis that he got far more stuck in and did the basics ok. But he was laughable when their players took him on. Zero pace at all.

I find myself in a conundrum - because Morris is clearly crap. But Kamara is a kn0b who lacks sense and won’t be here next season either.

I very rarely come away from a defeat not disappointed, but despite what others have said I thought in the circumstances it was a spirited performance, good to see some young players do their best and I wasn’t disappointed with the defeat!

Well now we have Joao Ferreira, who is probably our best option for Blackpool, although I don't know if he's as strong on that side and it would also mean we'd be as we were on the right side

Rous has taken Burnsy getting one over him early in thread as well as anybody could expect. Classic stuff.

I liked him. Very quick, and not afraid to put himself about.

I think all of them will likely fall away, but I think the club sometimes need to understand how much the fans enjoy seeing the odd youth team player tried instead of buying in randoms.

I found Adeyemo trying to rally the fans in the 2nd half particularly endearing

The Pantilimon Effect. Still can't believe we played him at Wembley in an important game and he then tried to save a header going into the roof of the net with his foot via a flying karate kick. Good times.

Edit: pretty sure the neurons remain in the same place rather than moving round the body!

It was fascinating watching him and Fraser Forster have the exact same flaw of not being able to get to shots low to their left.

Burnsy didn't do anything. He made an incorrect assumption that remained incorrect regardless of my response.

I'm pretty sure I typed 343 as my response anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if a mod edited it to 433 just to mess with me - it's happened before.

He’s absolutely done you, and you admitted as much yourself earlier in the thread, only to double back with this bizarre tirade later, presumably after steaming on it for hours.

I think this is a fair summary. I would only add that in 90 +1 when we had a corner Okoye moved up to the half way line and asked the bench if I he could get into their box to try and equalise. We thought (as fans) why not- 1-0 down but he was told no - corner came to nowt and they broke and made it 2-0.
That seemed to us as if “we don’t want a replay” let’s go out and try and conserve players to try and make the play offs as that’s the big picture. Sure on one level but really is that the right message to us let alone those youngsters who tried hard but were generally, bar 15 minutes in 2nd half, unable to make forward progression as they could have had a second chance.

Also to those idiots at the back who threw two flares after the game ended that nearly hit some of our fans at the front thats ridiculous and dangerous.

Don't do it. I did last week and found he'd called me out over whether I was making up the transfer rumour I heard from someone at the club. Its how it always starts. It then ends with the inevitable character assassin attempt.

I don't know what's been going on with the posters on my ignore list, but I'd like to see Sarr benched for a few games. Maybe give Blake a run at left wing instead.

I know it was one game, and many on the pitch would not have had a run of competitive games for a while. But I saw nothing in Okoye, Pollock, Morris or Hungbo to suggest they could form part of a match day squad aiming for promotion. In this or next season. The two that really disappointed were Okoye (due to the money spent) and Pollock (due to him being a purchase based on scouting of young talent in the EFL). Both look like players with limited chances to play at Premier League level.

On another note, when did a £tenner barely get you any change for a hot dog and chips from a van outside a ground?
