    We have been running low on participants for the last month or so, so as it's a fresh month of competition, here's a chance for budding eggheads to get in on the quizzing action...if only to stop the Spurs interloper!

    Cool. If you keep doing it you'll build up speed - I couldn't believe some of the times when I joined, now I'm posting them! he way the scoring works is: you get 100 pts for every correct answer, ans 1 pt is deducted for every second you take to complete the quiz, so if you got 9 right in 71 seconds you would sc0re 829 points, but if you got 10 correct but took 185 seconds you would only score 815. It's to stop googling!

    That was a lot harder than yesterdays. 8/10 still pretty good, got the grape and named after ones wrong. Faster time than yesterday, so overall pretty pleased.

    Thanks for the reminder. Used to do this all the time then forgot. Just had a go - fear there was a large element of “beginner’s luck” and peaking early but I’ll take that!

    Annoyingly I think we get different questions.

    I think ashanti is a West African, spider trickster god, but that might be the wrong context.

    I don't think we do. My problem is that to get a good score you have to speed read and with my failing short term memory I can never remember the questions!
