Some of the most entertaining games I've ever seen have been played 'below championship level'. Non-league football can be great too - you won't see a better game than Wrexham v Grimsby (4-5) in this year's national league play-off.

I did actually watch that game, and it was great. It was very much the exception to the rule as far as I’m concerned though. I find play off football at any level has a greater level of entertainment to it due to what is at stake for both teams so I’d be more inclined to watch play off games at a lower level. Would I watch a normal non league game? No. Is it because of the gender of the players? No.

What will you do on Saturday afternoons after Watford are relegated this season?

I understand the argument for liking non-league football, but do you watch woman’s football?

I'm not a big fan of ladies football but my local cricket club has a thriving ladies section and I have to say the standard is superb and very enjoyable to watch

One of those rare dives resulted in our first goal against Norway. Should have been booked for simulation.

I've never understood why female keepers are so immobile - women can jump in athletics. Maybe someone can explain.

I'll try to answer this without being rude and apologies if it comes over this way, it's really not meant to.

Boys football from a very early age has an abundance of decent players in every position, meaning most clubs can play several teams and filter their abilities. Boys who want to be in the first team and don't necessarily have the football ability can still make decent first team keepers. So they sacrafice the on field position to get into the first team.

Girls football doesn't have the numbers from the beginning, (or didn't when my daughters were involved), so to be blunt, the least able girl on the team was the keeper, (I've already apologised above). If a good keeper was any good at football they'd be immediately shipped out to position 2-11 and a worse player put in goal.

Going through all the years, leagues, cups, teams etc. etc. with both my daughters I only ever came across one young lady who was a superstar in goal, and she was a one off as she only ever wanted to be a keeper from a young age. As a coach I tried to get her to play for us several times but it never quite happened. Luckily her and my youngest played in the same team from U16-U18, (my coaching days were over by then), and she really was awesome.

So in short, a lack of depth from U7 onwards means the least able ladies were your future keepers.

Hopefully that will change as more girls take up football.

Good game tonight against Spain, two very nice sides. An even game at half time but with a few tweaks I think England can nick it

Was a very dubious penalty it's fair to say!

A great goal worthy of winning such a big game.

Well done ladies - not at their best but got the victory.

Good opponents who were the better side until I remarked that England didn't look like ever scoring - about half a minute before we did.

The one thing that's quite clear is the strong team spirit and belief in the squad.

First game I've watched and it was very enjoyable. Spain looked very good until they scored but then England held the upper hand. I also felt we looked fitter than Spain and in extra time this told. The right winger for Spain I thought was superb

Having disparaged female keepers, I must say that Mary Earps was very impressive. Commanded her area and not afraid to get clattered.

Did I mishear or do the Netherlands have a player named Pullover?

    I expect she's a good jumper!

Really entertaining game - not a typical cautious semi. And so evenly matched.

I've always enjoyed watching women's football and am so impressed by the high quality of the England team.. Also we'll done to the BBC for their excellent coverage of the exciting European championships. Surely this is now bigger and more important than the men's world cup

What’s not to love about it? It’s played at a great pace, not spoiled by cheating babies rolling around feigning injury. It’s like what football used to be like in the good ol’ days

    ..it’s coming home

ITV have nothing to do with this tournament, it's a banker.
