Just saw a Watford fan on Twitter say the Pozzos should be lauded for all the work in the Communitee they do and this is more important than anything else. I'm filing them in the DAFT group Deranged As Feck Twitterer
Saw that - all clubs do good community work . We aren’t exactly alone in that now . Except not many other clubs then had players breaking lockdown rules or doing other silky things to bring bad PR to the club.
Yep, that 5h1tar5e turned the game when he came on. Apart from Kucka who gave him a right kick in one of the many 'tussles' he engineered, none of our lily-livered lot were remotely interested in facing up to him and he was left with all the space he wanted to allow them to play wall-ball against him until they worked the crossing opportunities. As punishment for poor behaviour (joking) , I took my 2 grandsons to the game. Neither are particularly bothered about Watford, except they prefer them to do well as 'my' team, but they were both equally incandescent at the incompetence of Craig Pawful and could not understand how at least one of the 1st half handballs were not referred back to him by VAR. The 13-year old (who's a reasonable CB in his age group) and myself both picked up 3 occasions before the equaliser when Kamara was left 1-on-2 at the back post because neither Kucka nor Louza were tracking the midfield overload runner. It was 4th time unlucky and was so obviously their plan that it is incredible no-one on the pitch tried to rectify it. Incompetence pure and simple.
Not a fan of the guy, but I feel like if we had someone like him to bring on the result might have been different. From my view in the SEJ stand he was motivated, made them more fluid, and knew how to sneak useful fouls from our naive defending. None of our lot seem to have that nous or know-how currently.
I commented to my wife after that nasty challenge in the second half, "ooh that was a bith dirty Diana".
Sorry to be persnickety but Ranieri took 7 points (two wins and the draw at Newcastle) and Hodgson 8 (two wins and two draws). It’s not so much that I’m a boring stickler for accuracy lol but more that I don’t want our current abomination of a manager to be given more credit than he deserves!
I reckon a liberian girl would have been more useful than our defence. Yesterday just underlines that they don't care about us
I understand your point however any keeper of a Prem standard who is competent on the ball would never be with us for long should we acquire such a player. Only when , and it will happen , keepers who can play are the norm , will we stop having kittens when our GKs have the ball at their feet !
Oh my, just wait till Okoye joins. He is like a giraffe on ice with the ball at his feet. Fun days in the Championship with him being closed down quickly.
That first goal Burnley scored was probably the worst goal we've conceded all season. Kucka and Kiko stand off the guy who crosses it, both Samir and Kabasele are marking absolutley no one and Dennis.....yes Dennis, is left marking two players in the centre of the goal. Absolutely horrendous defending. What concerns me, is the type of goal we're conceding in the Brentford and Burnley matches are exactly the type of move Championship clubs would be making. This does not bode well for next season.
Hodgson has sadly failed to improve our defence one iota, and given that was meant to be his (one) forte, it shows what an epic failure of an appointment we made.
Did this game even happen? I’m struggling to remember anything beyond us wheeling out a sick 74 year old and plonking him on the bench to then do nothing for two hours.
