Wasn't the story worse than that and it was said somewhere he was already injured when he turned out for charidee?
I watched the first few when he had the camera in the goal as I thought it would be quite interesting to see and hear properly how a pro talks/positions/reacts etc in a real game. After approx about 5 or 6 of them I realised I'd 'seen it all' and binned them off. Since then the fallout on SM regarding his descent in to wanting to be a YouTube star has kept me well away from ever wanting to watch another out of curiosity.
The worst part was club covered for him. An unspecified knock in training was mentioned. We are an unprofessional circus from top to bottom.
Does he even still do cycling? I remember him the very odd video of him cycling around the roads with his buddy who films himself at games and then come home to show how massive his garage is etc etc. I unsubscribed from his channel the moment a hotel put ketchup in his room to get a positive glowing comment so apologies if that question is obvious.
I think so but too busy interviewing other players (none of our ex or current players though) probably. Of course he cannot drive anywhere either...so probably can only cycle around his local area.
Highlight for me was when he took us "through the keyhole" to look at his £100k (or whatever it was) collection of trainers.
For some strange reason, I used to love that show. Lloyd Grossman - not the one Keith Lemon ruined. That and Catchphrase (Roy Walker) was classic 90s watching.
I cannot imagine anything I would be less likely to watch than a Youtube channel devoted to what Ben Foster gets up to in his spare time
It’s a shame Bo Selecta! isn’t on anymore, TheCyclingGK would be suitable material. I can imagine a rubber face Ben Foster screaming about tomato ketchup and calling everyone legends a la Mel B’s “bastards!”
Is he still making this inane sh1t? How many times can you put on a fake "sincere" face and say some token words about improving and feeling the same as the fans, before launching into an ar$e licking monologue to raffle off the shirt of someone who has just torn his own team a new one?
Unfortunately history has repeatedly shown that when it comes to music, TV, Film etc. and entertainment as whole, the general populace are entertained by seeing the same thing repeated over and over…
I came across this video earlier And working in football I am genuinely baffled as to how Watford have allowed this. Trying to get any PL club to agree to let you do any kind of physical activity with a player is virtually impossible. I had a shoot with Man City cancelled at the last minute this week, costing them a fortune in covering our costs because Pep didn't want any non-footballing activity happening. Meanwhile at Watford we let our CB & GK do this against some you tubers at 0 benefit to the club. These videos only benefit Foster and WTE themselves. I thought maybe they've done it off their own backs, which Watford can't really stop happening but it's at OUR training ground... I've posted this before too, but my mate did work experience with Watford last season. On his first day Foster walked up to him, tickled his balls got in his face and went 'ahhhhhhhh' and then walked off without saying a word. Any serious club wouldn't let any of this see the light of day. It's not worth it.
I know why we do it. Duxbury cares more about hits on our Twitter page from China and the US, than he does about our club accruing league points. We’re not a club serious about football. We’re a detention center for the hopeless, specialists in failure, and those in Mogi’s back pocket.
I agree with the sentiment overall, albeit I'm not so bothered about WTE doing something like this at the mo given he's basically not playing for us any more. It's definitely been a detrimental issue at the club in general in recent years when we've had our most experienced pros like Foster and Deeney seemingly more interested in their media careers than winning matches.
No he hasn't that's one thing that has been completely brushed under the carpet! Funny though because his best mate Tom who is on the videos jokes about him walking everywhere now, but no apology!
Think he did this video when he was in the squad every week, which makes it even worse. Maybe Ranieri/Hodgson saw him getting rinsed by professional numpties and considered whether he should be playing Premier League football
I was originally under the impression that the money made all went to charity, but he's now advertising nonsense products. There is absolutely no way that you can be focused on the job at hand when your side business is more successful. Out of contract and can't wait to get rid.
We're going to extend him for a year as back up. And he'll be able to stick the Go Pro back in the goal when he has to step in after Okoye turns into Bachmann Mark 2.
The last bit is that up in the air - but I genuinely believe every bit of the rest of your post is very possible.
Another year of churning out inane crap at our expense will probably suit his media career perfectly.
Cant claim it’s for the fans anymore, he’s got 4 adverts on his 10 minute videos. Gotta make those YouTube pennies
Perhaps Foster needs to be told to toe the line. Unfortunately Bachmann never moves off it, so it's a difficult one.
This sh*t popped up on my youtube feed today so I decided to give it a watch. This is a f***ing disgrace during a live season and exactly why we are where we are right now. Go to 45 seconds in.
