Can’t stand him but Trump has quietly gone about his business. Seems to be falling into place for Ronnie, although Maguire has looked more consistently in-form than he usually does. Williams dealing handily with the qualifiers, will be interesting when the pressure is on and Johnny ‘Envelope’ Higgins boring opponents into submission again.

Shaping up nicely and hard to pick a winner at the moment. Another disappointing failure for Robertson, rapidly becoming the Spurs of the Crucible.

I will always maintain that Ronnie hasn’t got the minerals anymore to go the whole way at the Crucible due to the longer matches. 2020 in my opinion was a blip due to no crowds, played into his hands. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Williams is on fire at the moment though, so if he keeps that up a good bet. Fancy Higgins is due to win something as well as he’s got to a lot of finals this season.

Outside bet would be Bingham for me. His match with Trump will be interesting. Don’t think Trump has really found top gear for a while now.

I would love to see Bingham win it, but for me anyone but O'Sullivan.

Mark Williams has had the shortest matches so far, this could come into play later in the tournament as fatigue sets in.

Gutted for Williams but what a semi final and what a great tournament so far. 100 times better than any of the football at the moment.

Trump's letting the pressure get to him, O'Sullivan has been ruthless when presented chances and playing some good safety shots.

Just needs this session to finish, he’s clearly not composed enough to trouble Ronnie. I was wondering if Ronnie playing funny buggers with the ref today was to get in Trump’s head and disrupt him. Noticed him stomping over to who I’m guessing is the floor manager to say something a few frames back too.

Basically, Ronnie has been followed all tournament by Netflix for a documentary on him. It has been said elsewhere, that Ronnie wants to win this for the program and is playing things up because of that as well. To be honest, I can see where they're coming from.

Ah that makes sense, I didn’t know that. Thought it was just Ronnie being weird to keep himself alert or something.

17-12 at the moment, O'Sullivan's experience shining through. His shot placement for the 16th frame was sublime.

I've often thought about going to a snooker match but multiple work presentations where for some unknown reason the moment everything's quiet my stomach decides to gurgle the ninth symphony puts me off attending.

I'd get thrown out for being a distraction it's that loud sometimes.

Doesn't matter if I've eaten or not, as soon as there's any silent moment, up it pops gurgling away like I'm struggling to digest half a cow.

Unparalleled performance by the greatest of all time. Across the tournament. Only losing one session. Seeing Ronnie and Jimmy White embrace on Eurosport was a very emotional moment.

Felt nerves throughout the tournament when he played that I simply don’t get watching football anymore.

I agree with Squibba, the greatest British sportsman of all time. To do what he’s done at his age with so many other amazing players across the game is simply greatness.

Stop Oil protesters caused problems at the Crucible tonight. One table ruined and some woman tried to glue herself to the other table but the referee and security were quick to remove her.

It's all over Tic Tok as well. Some say the powder was to suggest the chalk was made with an oil or something? Never condone this sort of protest, it won't change anything in the long term but there are different ways to do it. Not a massive fan of Snooker personally but I used to be pretty good at Pool.

Why? Similar sorts of protests certainly helped the suffragette cause.

I'm no historian but ultimately what helped the suffragette cause was that a lot of women worked in munitions factories and took other men's jobs while the majority of a generation of men went to war. The government could no longer ignore women's right to vote.
