Indeed. I'll stick my neck out so on page 16 of this thread I can have my ridiculous opinion bumped. I think he'll be big hit. Physically strong, versatile. I know he's been in the farmers league, but his passing accuracy is ridiculously high, and I don't think that's a product of 2 yard passes to defenders.
I reckon he does think it makes him money. No idea if that is from Mogi big picture for Watford (although surely it would mean we would have had Dendoncker back in the day). Or Mogi big picture for Udinese. Or other reasons. Who knows. I don’t have any basis for anything except I know he’s brokered loads of deals for my football club where we pay lots of money and generally do badly out of the deals in my opinion. Anything else would be groundless speculation.
I think at Eupen he was best as an athletic, attacking #8. I agree with Burnsy that Watford will 100% try to play him as a #6. He won’t be as effective there and everybody loses. Except Bayat.
You can speculate like this until the cows come home, or you can look at actual history. I don't know why Pozzo does the crazy things he does, only that the does them.
Again, assuming that league success is perhaps the most important measure, and that under the Pozzos we will have spent 6/10 seasons in the prem (vs 2/30 or so before).
Right, so our owners choosing to spend the bulk of our paltry budget on helping out a specific agent ahead of our team's needs isn't necessarily contributing to that though.
They must feel it is otherwise why do it ? They might be right or they might be wrong in making that judgement. We only see limited info, extrapolate and make a judgement based on that.
I’m giving you your own segment with me - it’s just us suggesting punts for 15 mins and not agreeing on any of them. We are also in talks with Mogi Bayat for a ‘Transfer Window Special’ but we can’t quite figure out how to send Dogecoin to his account in the Caymen Islands. #OneToListenTo
Better hurry up as today he's been named as one of 57 people charged as part of the football corruption scandal in Belgium today, alongside his brother Mehdi (Sporting Director of Charleroi when we bought Lukebakio from them). Not sure how the Belgian system works and if charged means quite the same as it does over here... Edit: seen this has been discussed at length elsewhere. Nothing to see here, as you were!
First half he was ok but nothing spectacular , but in the second half he was very good. Very good passer and physically looks ready for the PL. Not a DM though and neither is Louza.
I was just as impressed with what happened elsewhere with him on the pitch - especially first half. He did well covering the back four so the centre backs didn’t get dragged out wide towards the ball, like last week
The Belgians did say that he works his nuts off. That's the minimum we can ask for, yet far more than we get from most.
Yeah he popped up at left back a couple of times when Kamara had got forward and filled in at centre back when Samir went for a walk in the second half. I think the guy deserves to be judged on his performances for us and not where he came from or how he got here. Kucka had a good debut so I'm not getting carried away but it was a promising start from Kayembe.
